| CLASSES SHIFT TO SYNCHRONOUS / ASYNCHRONOUS and EMPLOYEES SHIFT TO WFH for February 6, 2026:
1. Classes in the Basic Education and College level will shift to synchronous / asynchronous mode.
2. Classes in the Graduate School, School of Law, ETEEAP, CPA-Review and RITTC will be at the discretion of their respective Deans and Directors.
3. Employees will follow a Work-from-Home arrangement.

CEBU CITY UNDER SIGNAL NO. 2 DUE TO TS BASYANG
Cebu City has been placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 as Tropical Storm Basyang continues to affect the Visayas.
Under Signal No. 2, gale force winds of 62 to 88 km/h may be experienced within 24 hours, posing a minor to moderate threat to life and property, especially in coastal and upland areas.
As of 4:00 AM, Basyang was located near Agusan del Norte and is moving west northwestward. Strong winds, heavy rainfall, and rough seas are expected to affect Cebu, with sea travel considered risky.
The public is advised to stay alert, secure surroundings, avoid unnecessary travel, and follow advisories from local authorities.
Further updates will be issued as the situation develops.

“VERBENA” MAINTAINS ITS STRENGTH AS IT CONTINUES TO MOVE WESTWARD OVER THE PHILIPPINE SEA.
• Location of Center (7:00 AM):
The center of Tropical Depression VERBENA was estimated based on all available data at 290 km East of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte (9.5°N, 128.1°E)
• Intensity:
Maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 55 km/h, and central pressure of 1002 hPa
• Present Movement:
Westward at 20 km/h
• Extent of Tropical Cyclone Winds:
Strong winds extend outwards up to 200 km from the center
