186TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CANONIZATION OF S. ALPHONSUS MARIA DE LIGUORI
Rome, St. Peter's Square, on May 26, 1839, Blessed Alphonsus M. de Liguori, along with four other Blesseds, Francesco de Gironimo, Giovan Giuseppe della Croce, Pacifico da S.Severino and Veronica Giuliani, was proclaimed a saint by Pope Gregory XVI.
