| Josenian Donation Drive Initiative for Recent Fire Victims

In response to the recent residential fire incidents in Metro Cebu, the USJ-R Supreme Student Council is organizing a donation drive to extend assistance to the families and residents who have been displaced and are currently in need of support.

The first fire broke out near Sitio Lawis, Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City, at around 3:26 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026. Two days later, a third-alarm fire struck a residential area in San Lucas, Biasong, Talisay City, Cebu, on Sunday night, September 20, 2026.

Following these successive tragedies, many affected families are now facing the difficult task of rebuilding their homes and lives. All donations collected through this donation drive will be intended for the affected families and residents from these two fire incidents, providing them with essential supplies and immediate support as they recover.

Last August 14, 2026, our former 44th SED House Representatives marked another meaningful milestone as they received their pins during the School of Education Pinning Ceremony.

Beyond their service and leadership as House Representatives of the School of Education, this moment celebrated another important chapter in their journey—one that brings them closer to their calling as future educators.

As we look back on this memorable occasion, we proudly celebrate our former 44th SED House Representatives for taking this significant step in their journey as pre-service teachers.

Congratulations once again to our newly pinned Josenian Educators! May the passion for service and dedication you have shown in leadership continue to guide you as you prepare to inspire and shape future generations.

𝗝𝗼𝗘𝗱 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀📸 | 𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Held last August 25, 2026, from 1:00 PM onwards at the USJ-R Basak Auditorium, the School of Education community officially gathered for the SED Convocation 2026, themed around unity, purpose, and welcoming a brand-new academic year!

From the inspiring presentation of the SED Vision-Mission and guidelines to the energetic introduction of our dedicated SED Chairs and Faculty members across the Department of Teacher Education, Department of Physical Education, and Special Education Department, the afternoon was nothing short of vibrant. The excitement peaked when each department treated everyone to jolly, surprise intermission numbers filled with lively songs and dances! Afterwards, students were introduced to vital service supports and organizations—including the Josenian Educators Organization, the Supreme Student Council - SED HRs & Services, and the Student Development and Placement Center—setting a strong, connected tone for all SED year levels.

To our dear Josenian educators, as you embark on this new semester, may you carry the enthusiasm and camaraderie of today into your classrooms and communities.

August 12, 2026 | The 45th SED House Representatives paid a courtesy call to the Dean of the School of Education, Dr. Vinchita G. Quinto, marking the beginning of a collaborative engagement with the college administration.

August 13, 2026 | The SED House Representatives joined the 1st General Assembly of the School of Education, welcoming the new academic year and our newest Josenian Educators.

The race has officially begun, and the path ahead is ready to bloom. We aim to finish the race first—𝑭𝑰𝑹𝑺𝑻 𝑾𝑰𝑻𝑯 𝒀𝑶𝑼. 💐

In our commitment to fostering student-centric governance, the 𝗨𝗦𝗝-𝗥 𝗦𝗦𝗖 𝟰𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 presents the 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀. This platform serves to evaluate the efficiency and accessibility of the University's current excuse letter process.

Josenians, we need to understand your firsthand experiences. This survey will help us identify existing challenges and gauge overall student awareness regarding current procedures. Your honest feedback will provide the empirical baseline necessary to advocate for concrete administrative reforms.

Sustainable campus improvements are never done in isolation—𝙒𝙚 𝘿𝙤 𝙄𝙩 𝙒𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙔𝙤𝙪. We invite all Josenians to participate in this assessment and help shape a more accessible university environment.
