📌 Day 3 | REDP Finalization, Stocktaking, and Investment Planning Workshop

The Day 3 of the Finalization of the Regional Education Development Plan (REDP) aligned with the Quality Basic Education Development Plan (QBEDP) highlights continued progress in refining strategies and strengthening investment planning for Region VII.

The activity is headed by PPRD Chief Helen D. Sabino of Department of Education – Regional Office VII, with the support of Dr. Rey P. Tan, Education Program Supervisor, and Ms. Ada G. Dayondon, Regional Planning Officer.

Building on the previous days’ outputs, participants are now focused on finalizing key strategies, validating data, and integrating investment planning components to ensure that the REDP is both responsive and sustainable.

The active collaboration among program owners and non-program owners continues to drive meaningful discussions, reinforcing a shared commitment to advancing quality basic education in the region.

📌 Day 2 | REDP Finalization and Stocktaking Workshop

The Day 2 of the Finalization of the Regional Education Development Plan (REDP) aligned with the Quality Basic Education Development Plan (QBEDP) continues to gather momentum as participants deepen their collaboration and planning efforts.

The activity is headed by PPRD Chief Helen D. Sabino of Department of Education – Regional Office VII, with the support of Finance Chief Mr. Sylvio H. Sabino, Dr. Rey P. Tan, Education Program Supervisor, and Ada G. Dayondon, Regional Planning Officer.

Building on the outputs from Day 1, participants are actively engaged in refining strategies, validating data, and aligning program targets to ensure that the REDP is responsive and anchored on regional priorities.

The continued collaboration among program owners and non-program owners highlights a shared commitment to strengthening education planning and delivering quality basic education in Region VII.

📌 Day 1 | REDP Finalization and Stocktaking Workshop

The Day 1 of the Finalization of the Regional Education Development Plan (REDP) aligned with the Quality Basic Education Development Plan (QBEDP) is currently underway from April 14–17, 2026.

The activity is headed by PPRD Chief Helen D. Sabino of Department of Education – Regional Office VII, bringing together program owners and non-program owners in a collaborative planning and stocktaking process. The event was further enriched by the insights of the Guest Speaker Mr. Sylvio H. Sabino, Finance Chief, who emphasized the importance of strategic alignment, resource optimization, and sustainable planning in achieving quality basic education outcomes.

The workshop is conducted with the support of Dr. Rey P. Tan, Education Program Supervisor, and Ms. Ada G. Dayondon, Planning Officer, who are facilitating the stocktaking and workshop sessions.

Participants are actively engaging in discussions and activities aimed at ensuring that the REDP is responsive, aligned, and reflective of the region’s education priorities.

📌 Phase 2: Digital Data Visualization Workshop for the Policy, Planning and Research Division (PPRD) was successfully conducted, with PPRD personnel undergoing training on effective data visualization techniques.

The workshop was facilitated by the ICT Unit (ICTU) through Ms. Dimple Mancol, who guided participants in creating dynamic and interactive dashboards for improved data presentation and reporting.

This initiative of Department of Education Regional Office VII, headed by PPRD Chief Helen D. Sabino, highlights the importance of strengthening digital competencies to support data-driven decision-making across the region.

📌 PPRD Supports Bayanihan para sa Balikbayang Manggagawa

The Policy, Planning and Research Division (PPRD) of Department of Education – Regional Office VII expresses its full support to the Bayanihan para sa Balikbayang Manggagawa: National Reintegration Network (NRN) Regional Fair.

In line with this, Department of Education is conducting a nationwide activity from April 13–16, 2026.

📍 Help Desks/Booths are now OPEN to assist repatriated OFWs and interested individuals. Services include:

Provision of information on the SPIMS Program
ALS enrollment process
Guidelines on the A&E and PEPT

🕗 Booths are available from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Regional Office and all Schools Division Offices.

This initiative aims to empower returning OFWs and other interested individuals to move forward, build new opportunities, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our learners.

📌 Ceremonial Highlight

During the Ceremonial Turnover and Assumption of Office of the Incoming and Outgoing Regional Directors of Department of Education – Regional Office VII, a meaningful candle-lighting ceremony was held to symbolize leadership, unity, and continuity of service.

Dr. Helen D. Sabino, Chief of the Policy, Planning and Research Division (PPRD), joined Incoming Regional Director Arturo B. Bayocot in lighting the ceremonial candle.

This symbolic act reflects a shared commitment to uphold the Department’s mission and to continue delivering quality education for all.

📌The Orientation on the FY 2027–2029 Budget Proposals (Tier 2) for Region VII was successfully conducted with the participation of Schools Division Offices (SDO) representatives and Regional Office (RO) Focal Persons.

The activity aimed to provide guidance and clarity on the preparation and submission of Tier 2 budget proposals, ensuring alignment with regional priorities and strategic directions.

This activity was headed by PPRD Chief Helen D. Sabino with the Regional Planning Officer III of Department of Education – Regional Office VII.

The orientation was also graced by the presence of Regional Director Arturo B. Bayocot, who emphasized the importance of strategic and data-driven budget planning.

Participants actively engaged in the discussion, fostering collaboration and shared understanding toward strengthening the region’s budget proposal processes.

The first day of the Enhancement Training Workshop on the Program Management Information System (PMIS) for the Schools Division Offices of Region VII is currently underway on March 10–12, 2026 at the Quincentennial Hotel.

The three-day workshop aims to strengthen the capacity of participants in effectively utilizing the Program Management Information System (PMIS) to support improved program monitoring, reporting, and data-driven decision-making across the region.

This activity is spearheaded by the Policy, Planning and Research Division (PPRD) of Department of Education – Regional Office VII under the leadership of Chief Helen Sabino.

Participants from various SDOs in Region VII are actively engaging in discussions and collaborative sessions as they begin the first day of the workshop.
