My 3 yr old’s nap time looks different these days.

I don’t wait for him to fully fall asleep anymore. I just lie down with him for a few quiet minutes…

Then I gently ask if I can go get ready to pick up kuya.
When he says “okay,” I go 🤍
If he says no, I stay a little longer… until he’s ready, or until he drifts off to sleep.

No pressure.
No forcing.
Just a simple routine that works for us.

Proof that boundaries + routine actually work.

And honestly… it wasn’t like this before.

There were times when turning off the tablet led to meltdowns, especially when screen time stretched to an hour 😵‍💫

But staying consistent with boundaries + keeping a simple routine made all the difference.

Now he knows what to expect, and transitions are so much easier 💛
