Demonstrating the power of youth-led environmental action, the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) β Inayawan Chapter successfully conducted its "Kabataan Para sa Kalikasan" Coastal Clean-Up Drive, bringing together the PYAP officers and members, youth volunteers, and school-led organizations in Barangay Inayawan for a shared mission of protecting the community's coastal environment.
The activity was actively participated in by the PYAP officers and members, SSLG President Jhaztin Kate Agabon, YES-O and Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) President Jairah Nicole Tanjusay, together with their respective officers, members, and volunteers, highlighting the importance of collaboration and collective action in addressing environmental concerns.
As part of the ABANSE Movement, the initiative also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 13: Climate Action, SDG 14: Life Below Water, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. While every clean-up effort may seem small, each action contributes to healthier ecosystems and inspires greater community responsibility. Through unity and volunteerism, the youth of Barangay Inayawan continue to prove that meaningful change begins with collective action.
The PYAPβInayawan Chapter extends its sincere gratitude to the Barangay Council of Barangay Inayawan, headed by our Acting Punong Barangay, Hon. Arnel IbaΓ±ez, and to the Sangguniang Kabataan Council, headed by Hon. Anthony Jones J. Ceblano, for their unwavering support and commitment to youth- and environment-centered initiatives. Your leadership and partnership continue to empower the youth to become active stewards of our community and the environment.
