DepEd provides lapel voice amplifiers to VCHS–Rogus Ext.

Teachers of Villa Concepcion High School–Rogus Ext. received lapel voice amplifiers from the Department of Education (DepEd) on September 24, 2026 providing additional support for classroom instruction and lesson delivery.

The devices were distributed to teachers as part of DepEd's efforts to provide instructional resources that can help teachers communicate more clearly and effectively during classroom activities.

School Principal I, Dr. Omar F. Antalan expressed his appreciation to the Department of Education for providing the equipment, emphasizing its potential to assist teachers in delivering their lessons.

The teachers of VCHS–Rogus Ext. also expressed their gratitude to DepEd for the provision, recognizing the lapel voice amplifiers as useful addition to their classroom resources.

The new equipment is expected to help teachers project their voices more clearly, particularly during discussions, presentations, and other learning activities.

The distribution of the lapel voice amplifiers reflects the school's continuing efforts to strengthen classroom instruction and provide learners with a more conducive learning experience.

Villa Concepcion High School–Rogus Ext. Welcomes Newly Elected SPTA Officers

VCHS - Rogus Ext. has welcomed its newly elected officers of the School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA), strengthening the partnership between parents, teachers, and the school administration in support of quality education and the welfare of learners.

The newly elected SPTA officers will serve under the leadership and guidance of Omar F. Antalan, Secondary School Principal I, as the school continues to foster active collaboration among stakeholders.

VCHS–ROGUS EXT. STRENGTHENS STUDENTS' HEALTH THROUGH TB AND ADOLESCENT HEALTH CARAVAN

September 21, 2026 — A total of 205 students of Villa Concepcion High School – Rogus Ext. benefited from the TB Caravan and Adolescent Health Caravan conducted by the Cauayan City Health Office-II, under the leadership of Dra. Mary Kristin V. Abogado-Purugganan, in partnership with the Department of Health – Cagayan Valley Center for Health Development (DOH-CVCHD).

The health caravan provided an avenue for learners to gain greater awareness about tuberculosis prevention and early detection, as well as important concerns related to adolescent health. The activity emphasized the importance of health-seeking behavior, proper health practices, and making informed choices toward a healthier lifestyle.

The school expresses its sincere appreciation to the Cauayan City Health Office-II, DOH-CVCHD, and the entire healthcare team for bringing these valuable health services and information closer to our learners.

Also, heartfelt gratitude to the teaching staff of VCHS–Rogus Ext., headed by School Head Sir Omar F. Antalan, for the continued support and cooperation in promoting the health and well-being of Rogusian.

Special recognition is also given to Ms. Cristina D. Pagulayan, NTP and Adolescent Coordinator, whose commendable efforts and coordination contributed significantly to the successful implementation of the activity.

Appreciation likewise goes to the Barangay Officials and Barangay Health Workers of Barangay Rogus for their valuable assistance and support throughout the activity.

Through collaborative efforts among the school, health authorities, barangay officials, and the community, we continue to strengthen our commitment to keeping our learners informed, healthy, and empowered.

Villa Concepcion High School - Rogus Ext. Conducts Active Shooter Safety Orientation and Drill

Villa Concepcion High School – Rogus Ext. conducted an Active Shooter Safety Orientation and Drill during the health break to strengthen the preparedness and awareness of students and school personnel in responding to emergency situations.

The activity was facilitated by the Fourth Platoon, 2nd IPMFC, based in Villa Flor, Cauayan City, Isabela, under the leadership of PLT Samuel G. Batara Jr. He was joined by PCPL Aries A. Domingo, PCPL Dionicio Agcaoili, and PAT. Rowel Manaligod.

During the orientation, the police personnel discussed basic safety and emergency response measures that may help students and school personnel respond appropriately during an active-shooter or armed-threat situation. The discussion emphasized awareness, staying calm, following established safety procedures, and coordinating with authorities during emergencies.

The orientation was followed by a practical drill, allowing participants to apply the safety procedures discussed during the briefing. The exercise also aimed to familiarize the school community with emergency protocols and strengthen coordination between the school and law enforcement.

School Head Sir Omar F. Antalan welcomed and supported the conduct of the activity, recognizing the importance of continuous preparedness and cooperation in ensuring the safety and security of learners and school personnel.

The activity highlighted the importance of regular safety orientations and drills in building a prepared and responsive school community. Through continued coordination between Villa Concepcion High School – Rogus Ext. and local law enforcement, the school community can further strengthen its readiness to respond to emergencies.

Villa Concepcion High School–Rogus Ext. Strengthens Parent-School Partnership Through SPTA & HRPTA Meetings

ROGUS EXTENSION, CAUAYAN CITY, ISABELA — September 18, 2026 — Villa Concepcion High School–Rogus Ext. strengthened its partnership with parents and other school stakeholders through the conduct of the General School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) Conference and Homeroom Parent-Teacher Association (HRPTA) Meetings held today at the Senior High School Building.

School Head Sir Omar F. Antalan led the General SPTA Conference of Villa Concepcion High School–Rogus Ext., highlighting the school’s accomplishments, updates, and continuing initiatives for the benefit of learners.

Among the key agenda items discussed were school updates, the Child Protection Policy, school accomplishments and updates, the National Career Assessment Examination (NCAE) for Grade 9 and Grade 10, PuroKalusugan and TB Caravan, the importance of daily attendance, the grading system for Academic Year 2026–2027, and Golden Harvest.

The Child Protection Policy was also given emphasis during the conference, highlighting the shared responsibility of the school and parents in ensuring the safety, protection, and well-being of learners.

The conference also provided an opportunity for parents and stakeholders to raise questions and concerns through an open forum, encouraging transparent communication and active participation in matters concerning the school and its learners.

Following the general conference, HRPTA meetings were conducted by the respective class advisers to discuss class-specific matters. The meetings included updates on learners’ academic performance, election of HRPTA officers, class documents, classroom rules and discipline, cleanliness and maintenance, the No Collection Policy, class card distribution, and other matters.

The conduct of the SPTA and HRPTA meetings demonstrated the school’s continuing efforts to foster collaboration, communication, and shared responsibility among parents, teachers, and school administrators.

Through these activities, Villa Concepcion High School - Rogus Ext. reaffirmed its commitment to working hand in hand with parents and stakeholders in supporting learners’ academic development, welfare, and overall success while promoting a clean, safe, healthy, and conducive learning environment.

Edwani Writers Shine at Division Schools Press Conference 2026

Young journalists from Villa Concepcion High School – Rogus Ext. showcased their writing and artistic talents during the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) held on September 12–13, 2026, at Cauayan City National High School Main.

With determination and dedication, the school’s Edwani writers brought home notable achievements in various journalism categories, including one qualifier for the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC).

Leading the school’s achievements was Jinky Abuan, who secured 3rd Place in News Writing – Filipino, earning a coveted spot as an RSPC qualifier. She was coached by Ma’am Rogelyn Soriano Batilo.

In News Writing – English, Geuh Baniaga placed 8th, under the guidance of Sir Jomar F. Fabros.

Meanwhile, Regie R. Dalog earned 10th Place in Editorial Cartooning – English, coached by Sir Cristian Baltan Castillo.

The school also demonstrated strength in Filipino journalism. Dream Grace M. Raon achieved 10th Place in Column Writing – Filipino, with Sir Dexter as her coach.

In Sports Writing – Filipino, Qairon C. Gapasin captured an impressive 5th Place, coached by Sir Cristian Baltan Castillo.

These accomplishments reflect the students’ hard work and commitment to honing their skills in journalism. Their success also highlights the unwavering support of their coaches and school administration, who guided and encouraged them throughout their preparation for the competition.

The Villa Concepcion High School – Rogus Ext. community expressed its gratitude to Secondary School Principal I, Sir Omar F. Antalan and the dedicated coaches, Ma’am Rogelyn Batilo, Sir Jomar F. CAUAYAN CITY, September 12, 2026 — Student journalists from Villa Concepcion High School–Rogus Ext. officially kicked off their journey at the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) held at Cauayan City National High School – Main today.

The first day brought together campus journalists from various schools across the division as they gathered to participate in the annual press conference and further develop their skills in journalism.

For the delegates of Villa Concepcion High School–Rogus Ext., Day 1 was filled with anticipation, excitement, and opportunities to learn. The students took part in the activities of the conference while preparing themselves for the challenges of competing at the division level.

The event also provided the young journalists with an opportunity to meet fellow campus journalists, exchange experiences, and strengthen their confidence in their chosen field.

The delegates were supported by their school administration, teachers, and coaches as they represented Villa Concepcion High School–Rogus Ext. in the division-wide event.

School Principal I, Sir Omar F. Antalan continues to extend his support and encouragement to the student journalists as they take on the challenge of representing their school.

Meanwhile, the conference will continue tomorrow, September 13, with the awarding ceremony and group events set to take place. Delegates are expected to once again showcase their teamwork, skills, and dedication as the DSPC journey reaches its concluding activities.

As Day 1 came to a close, the young journalists carried with them valuable experiences and lessons that will guide them through the remaining activities of the conference.
