Today, we commemorate the 128th Independence Day of the Philippines a day that honors the courage and unity that won our nation’s freedom.

‎Rooted in Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan, we remember that independence is not just about the past it is about using our skills, unity, and passion to lift our country up.

The SSU University Student Council, together with the Student Organizations of Samar State University, is extending help to the families and residents affected by the fire incident that occurred earlier today in Brgy. 3, Pier 2, Catbalogan City.
Many families have lost their homes and belongings, and some of our fellow students have also been directly affected by this tragedy. In this difficult time, we are accepting both monetary and in-kind donations to help provide immediate assistance and support to those in need.
Every donation, big or small, can go a long way in helping affected families and community members recover and rebuild.
