Lake Danao Natural Park is situated in the highlands of North-Central Leyte, about 18 kilometers northeast of Ormoc City, Leyte, Philippines. It has a total area of 2,193 hectares. Sixty (60) percent of its total area consists of an intact forest cover. The natural park is also home to the exceptionally beautiful inland lake covering an area of 148 hectares (DENR undated).

Natural Hazard Impact Assessment | Kantagnos, Baybay City
The analysis was done using the InaSAFE plugin in QGIS 3.16 to assess the impact of the rain-induced landslide on building structures that happened in Kantagnos, Baybay City, last April 10, 2022. The results showed that there were 82 building structures exposed. Corroboratively, based on the preliminary satellite-derived flood and landslide assessment in Leyte and Southern Leyte Provinces conducted by the International Charter Space and Major Disasters/ UNOSAT, 83 structures in Kantagnos village was heavily damaged and/or destroyed as of April 17, 2022.
