What: Interview/ Literacy/ Numeracy and Science Process Skills Test for STE Qualifiers

When: Tomorrow, Feb 27, 2026 (Batch 1: 8:00 AM; Batch 2: 1:00 PM)

Where: Calbiga NHS, Annex 2 Bldg, 2nd Floor

Note: Pls bring your own snacks. No parents are allowed at the different stations. Thank you!

Below are the Grade 7- Science, Technology, and Engineering (STE) Qualifiers subject for Interview, Literacy, Numeracy, and Science Process-Skills Test scheduled on February 27, 2026.

• Batch 1 - Nos. 1-40 (8:00 AM)
• Batch 2 - Nos. 41-73 (1:00 PM)

Results will be posted after the different skill tests. Only the top 40 students will qualify to enroll in Grade 7-STE for SY 2026-2027.

Note: This list is of no particular order.

For those who are interested to take the STE Admission Test, please visit the Science Department Office of Calbiga National High School anytime next week (Feb 16-20, 2026).

These are the ff. requirements:
• Gen. Ave of 88% and above
• No grade below 85% in English, Math, Science
• No grade below 80% in other subjects
• Must be highly proficient in numeracy and literacy

The DOST-Science and Technology Information Institute (DOST-STII) leads the 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐨 𝐀𝐤𝐨 Activity, taking place today until September 13, 2025, at MGrand Royale Resort, Catbalogan City.

Seven (7) identified schools in Samar Province are participating in the two-day training, namely:
1. Osmeña National High School;
2. Eastern Visayas Regional High School;
3. Daram National High School;
4. Samar National High School;
5. Catbalogan National High School, and
6. Basey National High School
7. Calbiga National Highschool

In partnership with DOST - Samar PSTO, DepEd City Division and DepEd Samar Division this activity helps young learners turn scientific information into inspiring stories that raise awareness, are easily understood, and spark appreciation for science in their communities.

Please keep posted for the enrollment procedure and schedule. Students who will withdraw from the STE must inform the school immediately so the students in the waitlist can complete the slots. You may approach Sir Ronaldo Hitosis Jr. for more information.
