Under Proclamation No. 1264 signed last May 21, 2026 by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the annual Eid'l Adha or Feast of Sacrifice of Islam shall be held as a regular holiday across the whole country.
In this sacred event, let us reflect and be one with our brothers and sisters in Islam as they commemorate one of the two greatest feasts in their religion.

๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ง | Mark Fynn Augustine D. Requina, the Magna Cum Laude of Batch 2025-2026 from the Bachelor of Science in Psychology program under the Institute of Nursing, Allied Health, Social and Behavioral Sciences (INAHSBS), delivered his words of gratitude during the 77th Commencement Exercises held last May 9, 2026 at the CKC Assumption Province Gymnatorium.
In his speech, Requina reminded each and every graduate to be thankful and remember the efforts made to reach the diploma they had aimed for. To the woman who carried our world before we could carry our own, thank you for the love that never wavered, the sacrifices made in silence, and the strength you showed even on your hardest days. Everything we are today carries a piece of you in it. Happy Motherโs Day to the heart of our home and the soul behind every beautiful memory. ๐ค

Pride, joy, and accomplishment filled the atmosphere as graduates of Christ the King College marched in with their caps, medals, department heads, and proud parents during the 77th Commencement Ceremonies. From Juris Doctor and Certificate for Professional Training Program completers to graduates from various academic programs, the ceremony became a celebration of years of perseverance, sacrifices, and dedication finally rewarded.
One of the highlights of the event was the recognition of academic excellence, where 59 graduates received Academic Distinction awards, alongside one Cum Laude and seven Magna Cum Laude awardees. Special recognition was also given to students who exemplified leadership, loyalty, involvement, and Catholic Franciscan values through the Presidentโs Awards. As graduates officially received their diplomas and lifted their tassels, the moment symbolized not only the completion of their academic journey, but also the beginning of greater responsibilities and opportunities ahead.
The ceremony became even more meaningful as graduates expressed gratitude to the people who supported them throughout their journey. Their induction into the CSVP-CKC Alumni Association marked their transition from students to alumni, carrying with them the values and identity of the institution. The celebration concluded with smiles, cheers, and a graduation song and dance performance to โLouder,โ capturing the graduatesโ excitement as they stepped into a new chapter of life. (3/3)

Graduating students of Christ the King College gathered for the 77th Commencement Ceremonies Baccalaureate Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Prisco A. Cajes. Centered on the theme, โChristi Regians: Agents of Positive Social Transformation through Humble Service and Dignified Leadership,โ the celebration served as a spiritual preparation for the graduates before their commencement rites.
Reflecting on the Gospel according to St. Matthew 5:13โ14, Fr. Cajes reminded the graduates that they are called to become the โsalt of the earthโ and โlight of the worldโ by upholding truth, serving others, and becoming instruments of positive transformation. The Mass also included the oath taking, blessing of graduating students, and the blessing of diplomas, medals, and certificates.
The solemn occasion concluded with the Hooding and Capping Ceremony, where graduates were joined by their parents on stage in a heartfelt moment of gratitude and achievement. As the graduates knelt, their parents formally placed the hood and cap upon them, symbolizing the culmination of years of sacrifice, perseverance, and support. During the ceremony, Dr. Vilma C. Alburan, Vice President for Academic Affairs reminded the graduates that, โMay your education never distance you from humanity,โ encouraging them to carry not only knowledge and excellence, but also compassion and humility as they move forward into a new chapter of life.
