This year’s validation marked a significant shift as it was conducted fully online in adherence to MC No. 114 on energy conservation protocols. Despite the virtual setup, Barangay Buenavista effectively demonstrated its strong compliance with LTIA standards, particularly in areas of dispute resolution efficiency, proper documentation, and the overall functionality of its Lupong Tagapamayapa.

Notably, Barangay Buenavista is a National Awardee in last year’s LTIA, further affirming its consistent excellence and leadership in advancing grassroots justice and community harmony. Its continued success reflects not only adaptability to evolving guidelines but also a sustained commitment to good local governance.

With this strong performance, we remain hopeful for another national recognition this year. We also extend our sincere gratitude to Municipal Mayor Hon. Marilyn Aburido Era for her unwavering support and leadership in empowering barangays toward excellence.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) – Calatrava proudly extends its heartfelt congratulations to the Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) of Calatrava Senior High School – Stand Alone for the successful conduct of the Step Up Against Illegal Drugs Year 2.

This impactful initiative reflects the community’s strong commitment to promoting a drug-free, healthy, and united Calatrava. Your dedication continues to inspire collective action in the fight against illegal drugs.

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the Barangay Council and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay Calampisawan and Barangay Lo-ok for their invaluable support and cooperation. Your active involvement played a vital role in making this event safe, organized, and truly successful.

Likewise, we recognize and thank the Municipal Health Office and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) for their active participation and invaluable assistance in ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of all participants throughout the activity.

DILG Calatrava actively took part in the Barangay Assembly Day of Barangay Maaslob, together with representatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and other partner agencies. The assembly highlighted the presentation of barangay accomplishments, ongoing programs, and financial reports, ensuring transparency and accountability to the community. It also provided an avenue for residents to raise concerns, share feedback, and engage in discussions on peace and order, disaster preparedness, and other priority issues. The collaborative presence of various agencies reinforced the government’s commitment to responsive, inclusive, and community-driven governance.

Prior to the activity, DILG Calatrava also extended technical assistance to Barangay Maaslob, providing guidance on governance processes, compliance requirements, and the effective implementation of programs and services to further strengthen local administration.

With strengthened coordination and empowered communities, initiatives like these pave the way for a more resilient, transparent, and people-centered barangay—where every voice matters and every effort contributes to sustainable local development.

DILG Calatrava, headed by MLGOO Genevive Jadulos, conducted a surprise monitoring visit to Barangay Lipat-on to assess the barangay’s compliance with national directives and the implementation of key local governance programs. The activity aimed to check the status of barangay records, ongoing initiatives, and overall administrative practices.

The visit also provided an opportunity to engage with barangay officials, reinforce the importance of transparency and accountability in public service, and ensure that programs and services are effectively delivered to the community.

Such monitoring activities reflect DILG’s continued commitment to strengthening good governance and supporting barangays in maintaining efficient and responsive local administration.
