I recently had an eye-opening experience that truly reshaped how I view our bookings here at Solitude Stay and Rafts in Calatagan!

Last Thursday, at the wee hours of 1:40 AM, I got a message about our Php 7,500 promo, which includes an amazing full-day island hopping tour. Unfortunately, I missed it until Friday morning. But you know what? I was over the moon to have guests for the weekend!

As we prepared for their adventure that Saturday, I ran into a hiccup. I had trouble reaching one of our boatmen, Kuya Ruben. Turns out, he was using an old, battered cellphone! Connecting was a challenge, but it made me realize how much we take for granted.

After a fantastic day of island hopping, I caught up with Mr. Jerwin and his group. They were thrilled about their experience, especially praising the kindness and effort from Kuya Ruben and our lifeguard.

Then, something incredible happened: Mr. Jerwin asked if he could tip Kuya Ruben and the team 500 pesos each! I hesitated to accept such a generous amount, knowing it would mean so much to the locals. I explained that while anything is appreciated, his kindness would truly be a blessing, especially since bookings have been slow, and everyone is struggling.

What struck me today is this: every booking is more than just a transaction; it's an opportunity to support hardworking individuals striving to make a living. Each time you choose us, you’re not just enjoying a great experience—you’re helping our community thrive!
