The Seven Last Words of our Lord Jesus Christ
Lord Jesus,
On this most solemn day, we pause to remember the depth of your sacrifice. We reflect on the cross at Calvary—a symbol of profound suffering, yet the ultimate testament to an enduring and selfless love.
We are humbled by your grace.
In the silence of this day, help us to find a renewed sense of compassion for those who are suffering, strength for those who are weary, and hope for those who feel lost in the shadows.
As we contemplate the price paid for our redemption, let us not only offer our gratitude but also our commitment to live lives that reflect your teachings. May the gravity of Good Friday prepare our hearts for the joy of the resurrection, reminding us that even in the darkest hour, light is never far away.
Amen.
Because by your Holy Cross you have redeemed the world.

"ASH WEDNESDAY"
Gracious God,
As I begin this journey of Lent, I come before you with a humble heart. Today, the ashes remind me of my own mortality and my deep need for your grace.
Help me to use these forty days to:
Clear the clutter of my mind and heart so I can hear your voice more clearly.
Let go of the habits and distractions that keep me from being my truest self.
Turn toward others with greater compassion, seeing your light in everyone I meet.
May this season be less about "giving things up" and more about taking in your love. Teach me to walk more slowly, love more deeply, and live more intentionally.
Amen.

SOLEMNITY OF MARY, MOTHER OF GOD
Prayer,
Holy Mary, Mother of God, Today we celebrate your "Yes," which brought the Light of the World into our darkness. In the quiet of the stable, you held the Infinite in your arms, pondering all these things in your heart.
Guide us, O Mother, As we stand at the threshold of this New Year. Teach us to listen for the Word of God as you did, and to respond with a heart ready to serve. In moments of uncertainty, grant us your peace; in moments of joy, grant us your humility.
Intercede for us, O Queen of Peace, That the year ahead may be marked by healing and reconciliation. Just as you cared for the infant Jesus, watch over the human family. Help us to see the face of your Son in every person we meet, especially the poor and the forgotten.
Amen.
O, Mary conceived without original sin. Pray for us who have recourse to thee.

4TH SUNDAY OF ADVENT
Prayer,
Heavenly Father, as we light the fourth candle on our wreath, our hearts are filled with the warmth of your presence. We call this the Candle of Love, for it reminds us of the greatest gift ever given to the world.
Reflecting on God’s Love.
Lord, we are humbled by the depth of your affection. You did not stay distant in the heavens, but chose to enter our messy, broken world as a vulnerable child. We thank you for the radical love of the Nativity—a love that seeks the lost, heals the hurting, and welcomes the outcast.
Let this flickering flame be a sign that Your love is the light no darkness can overcome. May we carry this fire into our homes, our workplaces, and our communities, becoming vessels of Your peace.
We ask this in the name of Emmanuel, God with us.
Amen.

Prayer,
O God of unending joy and hope,
As we reach the midpoint of our Advent journey, we thank you for this day, called Gaudete Sunday, a moment to pause and rejoice in the light that is coming.
The rose candle is lit as a sign that our salvation is near, and we feel a lift in our hearts as we anticipate the birth of your Son, Jesus Christ.
Help us to hear the call of the prophet: to rejoice always and give thanks in every circumstance, even amid the waiting and the trials of this world. May the joy of Christ's presence be our strength.
Give us the grace to be like John the Baptist—to prepare the way for your Son not only in the world but within our own hearts. Cleanse us of what is unnecessary and fill us with expectation.
We ask you to draw near to us with your power, to lighten our burdens, and to help us shine with the joy of your Gospel.
We offer this prayer through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Amen.

2ND SUNDAY OF ADVENT
Prayer
Almighty God, as we light the candle of Peace on this second Sunday of Advent, we turn our hearts and minds to the call of John the Baptist: "Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight."
We pray for the gift of Repentance: Help us to examine our lives, to recognize the ways we have strayed, and to turn back to you with a sincere desire for conversion. Clear away the clutter and the distractions that keep us from seeing your presence in our lives.
We pray for the spirit of Hope: Remind us of the ancient promise of the "Shoot from the stump of Jesse"—the promise of your Messiah, who brings justice and everlasting peace. Sustain our hope in your faithfulness, even when the world seems far from your design.
We pray for the coming Peace: May your peace take root in our hearts, our homes, and our communities. Where there is conflict, bring reconciliation. Where there is strife, bring understanding. Make us instruments of the peace that only your Son, Jesus Christ, can give.
Grant us the grace to live lives of holiness and devotion as we await his glorious return.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Amen.
