The Mindoro State University – Calapan City Campus ROTC Unit successfully held its Thirteenth training day for the Second Semester on April 18, 2026, commencing promptly at 0700H at the University Grounds.

The program formally opened with a strict attendance verification, emphasizing the unit's commitment to discipline and punctuality. The ceremony proceeded with an 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 led by 𝘾/𝙋2𝙇𝙏 𝙈𝙪𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙠𝙤 𝙅𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙖 𝙑 𝙈𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙖, setting a tone of reverence and unity. This was followed by the 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺, conducted by 𝘾/𝙋2𝙇𝙏 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙮𝙣 𝘽 𝘽𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙤, which instilled a deep sense of patriotism among the cadets. Prior to the main activities, 𝘾/𝘾𝙋𝙏 𝙆𝙪𝙧𝙩 𝙅𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙈 𝙈𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙧 directed the 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲 to ensure everyone was physically prepared and energized.

A significant highlight of the session was the special lecture delivered by 𝙋𝙇𝙏 𝙈𝙊𝙉𝙀𝙏𝙏𝙀 𝙋 𝙂𝘼𝙈𝘿𝙐𝙏𝘼𝙉, 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙛 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙉𝙋 𝘿𝙧𝙪𝙜 𝙀𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙂𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙥, 𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩 4𝘽. The resource speaker provided valuable insights regarding the 𝗣𝗡𝗣 𝗗𝗘𝗚 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗴, giving the cadets a clear understanding of the command hierarchy and operational workflow. Furthermore, the discussion focused heavily on 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀
, educating the participants on the different types of illegal substances, their detrimental effects on health and society, and the importance of maintaining a drug-free community.

Following the informative talk, the cadets shifted their focus to practical application. Under the expert guidance of 𝙏𝙎𝙂 𝙋𝙖𝙪𝙡 𝙇 𝘽𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙮 𝙊𝙎 𝙋𝘼 (𝙍𝙀𝙎) and 𝘾/𝙇𝙏𝘾 𝙄𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙮𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙨 1𝘾𝙇, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩’𝙨 𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧, the basic cadets immersed themselves in m𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀. The practice session allowed participants to refine their movements, enhance coordination, and embody the military bearing expected of every ROTC cadet.

The training officially concluded at exactly 1130H, marking the successful end of another productive day. The activity was deemed a success, effectively balancing academic knowledge with practical skills, and further strengthening the camaraderie and competence of the Corps.

The Twelfth ROTC training day for the second semester took place on April 11, 2026, at the University Grounds of Mindoro State University – Calapan City Campus. Activities began at 0700H.

The session opened with 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝘀 underscoring the significance of discipline and consistency within the unit. 𝘾/𝘾𝙋𝙏 𝘼𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙡 𝙉𝙞𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙚 𝙍𝙖𝙙𝙖 2𝘾𝙇 led the gathering in a 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿, cultivating a spirit of cohesion and reverence. Subsequently, C/CPT 𝙅𝙚𝙧𝙡𝙮𝙣 𝙈𝙤𝙩𝙤𝙡 2CL directed the 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺, fostering a strong sense of patriotism and respect among all participants. To energize the cadets and ready them for the day’s tasks, 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲 consisting of stretching exercises was conducted under the supervision of 𝘾/𝘾𝙋𝙏 𝙋𝙖𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝙅𝙤𝙨𝙘𝙝 𝙈𝙖𝙪𝙡𝙖 2𝘾𝙇.

Today's training day focused on the refinement and mastery of ceremonial drills and ceremonies. Under the expert guidance of 𝙏𝙎𝙂 𝙋𝙖𝙪𝙡 𝙇 𝘽𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙮 𝙊𝙎 (𝙋𝘼) 𝙍𝙀𝙎 and
𝘾/𝙇𝙏𝘾 𝙄𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙮𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙨 1𝘾𝙇, the Unit’s Operations and Training Officer. The session allowed participants to sharpen their precision, coordination, and discipline, ensuring excellence in every ex*****on.

The training concluded precisely at 1130H, officially dismissing the corps. The activity was deemed a success, reinforcing not only technical skills but also the unwavering commitment to the ROTC core values of honor, service, and excellence.

The tenth and eleventh training days focused on 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀, with guidance from 𝙏𝙎𝙂 𝙋𝙖𝙪𝙡 𝙇 𝘽𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙮 (𝙍𝙀𝙎) 𝙋𝘼 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾/𝙇𝙏𝘾 𝙄𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙮𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙨 1𝘾𝙇, the Unit’s Operations and Training Officer. Cadets practiced various 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝘀, demonstrating notable improvement in precision and coordination as the day progressed.

The training concluded precisely at 1500H, with 𝘾/𝙇𝙏𝘾 𝙄𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙮𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙨 1𝘾𝙇 officially dismissing the cadets. The training days were a success, as participants not only enhanced their technical skills but also strengthened their commitment to upholding the core values of the ROTC program – 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫, 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.

The Eighth and Ninth ROTC training days for the second semester took place on March 14, 2026, at the University Grounds of Mindoro State University – Calapan City Campus. The activities began promptly at 0700H with the orderly assembly of all cadets, marking the start of days full of learning and mastering of essential ROTC skills.

The training days kicked off with thorough 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, emphasizing the importance of discipline and uniformity.𝘾/𝘾𝙋𝙏 𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙖 𝙅𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝘽𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙡𝙖 2𝘾𝙇 led the assembly in a 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿, setting a tone of unity and reverence. This was followed by the 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺, led by 𝗖/𝗖𝗣𝗧 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝟮𝗖𝗟, instilling patriotism and respect among the cadets. To get everyone energized, 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲 were conducted under𝘾/𝘾𝙋𝙏 𝘼𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙞 𝙆𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙙𝙪𝙖 2𝘾𝙇 supervision, preparing the cadets for the days' activities.

The morning sessions featured 𝗺𝗶𝗱𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, expertly facilitated by 𝘾/𝙈𝘼𝙅 𝙅𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙡 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙡 1𝘾𝙇, 𝙎1 𝘼𝙙𝙢𝙞𝙣 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧, which put the cadets' knowledge to the test. After exams, the cadets headed to the field to master drills and ceremonies, guided by 𝙏𝙎𝙂 𝙋𝙖𝙪𝙡 𝙇 𝘽𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙮 (𝙍𝙀𝙎) 𝙋𝘼, honing their skills and teamwork.

The training day concluded precisely at 1500H, with 𝘾/𝙇𝙏𝘾 𝙄𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙮𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙨 1𝘾𝙇, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩’𝙨 𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧, officially dismissing the cadets. He commended the cadets for their dedication and active participation, declaring the eighth and ninth training days a resounding successes.

On March 7, 2026, our ROTC family came together to turn their commitment to service into tangible action through the Blood Letting 2026 Drive, held under the theme "𝘈𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘨 𝘯𝘨 𝘏𝘶𝘬𝘣𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘒𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘩𝘢𝘯". The event brought together members from across our ranks – Basic cadets, Cadet Officers, and Reservists – along with dedicated civilian donors who shared our passion for helping others. All were eager to contribute to a cause that touches lives in our community. Each participant understood that donating blood is one of the most direct ways to show love for country and care for fellow Filipinos.

Special recognition goes to 𝘽𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙡 𝘾𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙣, whose invaluable partnership made this initiative possible. From setting up the donation stations and ensuring strict safety protocols were followed, to managing the screening process and coordinating the collection of blood units – their professional guidance and tireless efforts were at the heart of everything we accomplished. This blood letting event wouldn’t be successful if it weren’t for them, and we are deeply grateful for their continued work in strengthening our local healthcare support system.

To every single person who rolled up their sleeve to donate – including our ROTC members and civilian partners: your generosity will have a lasting impact on patients in need across Oriental Mindoro. Whether you were donating for the first time or are a regular contributor, your selflessness and willingness to help others exemplify the core values of our ROTC corps and bring true meaning to our theme – being a steadfast force not just in defense, but in caring for our nation’s people. As the Philippine flag soared high above our grounds, the MINSU Calapan Campus ROTC Unit officially kicked off 𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗖 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 with a solemn 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗴 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆. Basic cadets, Cadet Officers, and Reservists joined together in formation, standing at attention with unwavering respect as the colors were hoisted. They stood as one unified force, embodying the core values of honor, discipline, and love for country that guide our corps.

This month also aligns with Women's Month 2026, and we proudly celebrate the invaluable contributions of female cadets and officers in our unit and across the ROTC community. Their courage, leadership, and dedication break barriers and inspire us all, proving that service to nation knows no gender.

This ROTC Month will be filled with training, community initiatives, and activities that strengthen our commitment to serving Mindoro State University and the nation—while also highlighting the vital role women play in building a stronger, more inclusive Philippines.
