HUSTISYA PARA KINA ALYSSA, RJ, ERROL, MAU AT SA LAHAT NG BIKTIMA NG AFP SA NEGROS!

Kami, mga manunulat at artista, ay mariing kinokondena ang brutal na pagpaslang ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) kina Alyssa, RJ, Errol, Mau, at iba pang biktima noong Abril 19, 2026 sa Toboso, Negros Occidental.

Ang sinapit nina Alyssa, RJ, Errol, Mau, at ng iba pang biktima ay malinaw na patunay ng patuloy na karahasan ng estado laban sa mga nagtatanggol sa karapatan ng mamamayan. Sa halip na tugunan ang ugat ng kahirapan, kawalan ng lupa, at malawakang inhustisya sa kanayunan, pinili ng armadong pwersa ng gobyerno na supilin at kitilin ang buhay ng mga lumalaban sa katiwalian at pang-aapi.

Sa Negros, matagal nang umiiral ang malawakang pang-aagaw ng lupa ng mga panginoong maylupa, kasabay ng tumitinding militarisasyon sa mga baryo. Ang presensiya ng militar ay hindi nagdala ng kapayapaan, kundi takot, pananakot, at paglabag sa karapatang pantao ng mga magsasaka at mamamayan.

Sa ganitong kalagayan nagtungo sa kanayunan ang mga kaibigan at kasama gaya nina RJ, Mau, Alyssa, at Errol, upang makinig, makiisa, at unawain ang papalalang krisis sa kabuhayan ng mga magsasaka sa Negros. Ang kanilang pagpanig sa inaapi ang naging dahilan kung bakit sila tinarget ng dahas ng estado.

Hindi krimen ang makiisa sa mamamayan. Hindi krimen ang ipaglaban ang karapatan sa lupa at kabuhayan.

Pananagutin ang AFP. Wakasan ang militarisasyon sa kanayunan. Ipaglaban ang karapatan ng mamamayan ng Negros!

ordinary summer (.rdinarysummer) is based in Calamba City, Laguna — and it includes five pieces of coffee, and energy drinks that plays with crazy sounds of shoegaze, midwest-emo, post-rock, pop punk, and skramz (screamo).

Sleepless nights, suburban sounds, and a desire to yell into the dark are what led the band ordinary summer to stop playing music and start unleashing it. Their music makes me feel like I’m living through heartbreak at night, a realization by the side of the road, or the rush of rain after persisting heat. It’s filled with emotion — and it shows up as it is, and can be messy. But it’s what this generation craves.

All these personalities, with a splash of distortion, deep lyrics, and a passion for every musical moment — add up to a powerful energy. Either when they’re blurring every sound through feedback or creating palpable sorrows using open tunings, this band reaches out to make you part of their universe.
