𝗦𝗗𝗢 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿, 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀

Demonstrating its commitment to advancing quality and well-coordinated school sports programs, the Schools Division of Calamba City conducted a Consultative Meeting on School Sports Activities on July 27, 2026, at Bulwagang Rizal, 4th floor of the DepEd main building, to finalize strategic directions for the implementation of sports initiatives in School Year 2026–2027.

Led by SDS Merthel M. Evardome, CESO V, together with Division Sports Officer Ronald L. Manaig, the consultative meeting provided school sports focal persons with an opportunity to align the Division Sports Calendar with the prescribed instructional blocks and the DepEd Regional Office's sports schedule.

During the consultation, participants reviewed and refined the proposed calendar of sports events, enabling schools to prepare early, optimize resources, and ensure the timely conduct of competitions and development programs throughout the school year.

To strengthen the implementation of Division sports activities, the Schools Division Office designated event coordinators for each sports discipline who will lead the planning, coordination, and ex*****on of their respective events.

The meeting also emphasized the strategic utilization of Program Support Funds (PSF) downloaded to schools to expand and sustain school sports clubs.

Meanwhile, the participants explored approaches to maximize available resources, provide more opportunities for learner-athletes, and foster grassroots sports development at the school level.

𝟏𝟒𝟐 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐌𝐁𝐄Ñ𝐎𝐒, 𝐍𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐆𝐘𝐀𝐍 𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐁𝐀𝐆𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐊𝐀𝐊𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐀 𝐈𝐋𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐌 𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐋𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐘𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐌 🎓

Malugod nating binabati ang 142 ALS learners na matagumpay na nagtapos sa Ika-20 Pagtatapos at Ika-7 Pagtatawid ng Alternative Learning System (ALS). Ang inyong tagumpay ay patunay na hindi kailanman huli ang lahat para ipagpatuloy ang pag-aaral at abutin ang mga pangarap.

Noong ako ay Vice Mayor pa lamang, naging Principal Author tayo ng ordinansang nag-institutionalize sa Alternative Learning System (ALS) dito sa Lungsod ng Calamba upang mabigyan ng pangalawang pagkakataon ang mga nais makabalik sa pag-aaral.

Sa kasalukuyan, ngayong 2026, mayroon tayong 585 ALS learners sa ating lungsod. Inaasahan nating sila rin ang magiging susunod na magtatapos at magpapatunay na ang edukasyon ay para sa lahat.

Muli, pagbati sa ating ALS graduates. Patuloy tayong magsusulong ng mga programang nagbibigay ng pag-asa at oportunidad para sa bawat Calambeño.

𝗦𝗗𝗢 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀

The Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Service of the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Calamba City launched the pilot rollout of “Strengthening Resilience: PlanSmart for Safe Schools” at Bulwagang Rizal, 4th floor of the DepEd main building, on July 23–24, 2026.

The two-day activity aims to strengthen the disaster preparedness capabilities of schools by equipping participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the PlanSmart portal, manage administrative workflows, and digitize school building footprints for more accurate hazard assessment.

In her welcome remarks, SGOD Chief Mariliza T. Espada underscored the importance of proactive disaster risk reduction and the role of digital innovation in enhancing school safety and resilience. She encouraged participants to embrace emerging technologies that support evidence-based planning and informed decision-making in disaster preparedness.

Providing the foundational context of the initiative, Project Development Officer II Ariel D. Antonio presented the introduction to contingency planning and the rationale behind the development of the PlanSmart for Safe Schools web application.

He emphasized how the platform is designed to streamline contingency plan preparation, strengthen risk analysis, and improve coordination among schools and the division office.

Meanwhile, Camp Vicente Lim Integrated School Head Teacher Marvel M. Melido facilitated discussions on role classification within the system, helping participants understand the functions of the Maker, Approver, and Schools Division Office workflow.

He also guided attendees through system onboarding procedures, including portal access, credential management, and initial navigation of the PlanSmart platform.

The activity gathered school heads and DRRM Coordinators from public elementary and secondary schools across the division.
