• Should be officially enrolled in any Senior High School or Tertiary program at any grade or year level;
• For those enrolled in the Tertiary level, have a study load of at least 75% of the total units for the term or the remaining study load for graduating students in their terminal year of study. Tertiary entrants with less than 75% who are not graduating may still join the competition if they were enrolled in the previous semester.
• For transferees, credited units for the term are included in the total unit count. Should be an on-going student at the time of the competition;
• Have not graduated from a degree program; and
• Have not won or been declared as a previous National Champion of the competition they are competing in. (Previous National Champions may join other competitions, but not the same one they previously won.)
