Night thoughts

At night, everything gets quieter—
not just the streets, but the noise in people’s expectations.

That’s when the real questions show up.
Did I do enough today?
Did I say too much… or not enough?
Why do the things I pretend I don’t care about
wait until midnight to matter?

The night has a way of reminding me
that I’m human before I’m strong,
tired before I’m brave,
and hopeful even when I’m unsure.
Maybe tomorrow will be clearer.

Maybe not.

But for now, the night lets me breathe,
hold my thoughts without explaining them,
and rest in the idea
that surviving today was already an achievement.
