We are on the hunt for passionate and skilled individuals to join our amazing campus journalism team! We need the following vacancies to consider in English & Filipino; with or without experience but willing to be trained --- feel free to join.

Photojournalists

📌Must be proficient in using DSLR or mirrorless cameras, understanding of composition, lighting, and storytelling through images.
📌Has the ability to identify newsworthy events and capture them effectively.
📌Possesses image editing software proficiency like Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Canva and has the understanding of file formats and image resolution.
📌Able to have the capacity to convey narratives and emotions through photographs.
📌Has the ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

📺🎙️Television Broadcasters

📌Excellent in communication skills: Clear and concise speaking voice, strong on-camera presence.
📌Able to have familiarity with broadcasting equipment (cameras, microphones, switchers), basic video editing.
📌Must have the ability to identify and present news stories effectively.
📌Able to write concise and engaging scripts.
📌Able to handle unexpected situations and work under pressure.

📰🗞️ News Writers

📌Able to write clear, concise, and accurate news stories.
📌Able to identify and evaluate newsworthy events.
📌Able to conduct interviews and gather information effectively.
📌Able to verify facts and information.
📌Able to work quickly and meet deadlines.

📰 Feature Writers

📌Able to write engaging and compelling stories.
Able to connect with sources and build rapport.
📌Able to conduct thorough research and gather information.
📌Able to craft compelling narratives.
📌Must have the creativity to develop unique and interesting story ideas.

💫📒Editorial Cartoonist

📌Must have the ability to create visually engaging and impactful cartoons.
📌Able to create cartoons that reflect current news and issues.
📌Able to use satire and humor effectively to convey messages.
📌Must have the understanding of how to use visual elements to convey meaning.
📌 Must have the ability to meet tight deadlines.

🖼️🤳Layout Artist

📌Must be proficient in design software and has the experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator or Canva.
📌Must have the understanding of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
📌Able to create clean and accurate layouts relative the context of the event.
📌Able to develop visually appealing and engaging designs.
📌Able to work effectively with writers and editors.

🎞️🎥Videographers

📌Must have strong video production skills
📌Proficient in using video cameras, lighting, and sound equipment.
📌Proficient in video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro. Ability to create compelling visual narratives.
📌Must have the understanding of video formats, codecs, and resolution.
📌Able to develop visually interesting and engaging videos relevant to the current events.

The selection process was made possible through the support and effort of Mr. Louie Saripa --- the basketball coordinator & was supported by our former & ever dynamic sports coordinator Mr. Drew Salvs. What a fulfilling experience to have been collaborated constantly by a well-known individual.
