In 2024, BioTech, founded by visionary students from Agusan National High School under Patricia Basa's leadership, emerged from an Empowerment Technologies project. Guided by Basa, the team explored algae's potential to combat pollution, turning their school project into a real-world solution. Under Basa's guidance, they developed the photobioreactor concept and initiated research on optimal algae strains. BioTech exemplifies how student innovation, guided effectively, can yield solutions benefiting global issues. The team is dedicated to promoting the urgency of combating air pollution through photobioreactors, envisioning widespread implementation to significantly alleviate its adverse effects on global health.
