Ganito ang eksena ko sa MRT-3 kanina pauwi from work. Tulakan, siksikan, halos mawalan ng hangin, at pila na hindi na gumagalaw dahil bawat tren na dumadaan, puno na bago pa makarating sa amin. Nakakaawa makita ang mga elder, PWD, at buntis — forced makipag-unahan in a system that was never designed to protect their dignity.
Nakakalungkot isipin na normal na lang ito. Na parang ang standard natin ay hindi comfort, kundi endurance. Na ang sukatan ng pagiging “matatag” ay kung gaano karaming inconvenience ang kaya mong tiisin without complaining.
If I ever get the chance to leave this country, I won’t hesitate. Not because I don’t love it here, but because I refuse to romanticize suffering that should have never been normal in the first place. We all deserve a government that builds systems people don’t have to escape from. Hindi yung gobyernong ang ambag lang ay turuan tayong masanay sa bare minimum, habang tahimik nating nilulunok ang inconvenience na hindi naman dapat natin responsibilidad dalhin!

We hear that a lot. And yes, we believe it is a beautiful blessing. But we also believe that happiness in marriage is not only about having a child.
Before my husband came home, I already knew this question would come. And honestly, sometimes people don’t realize how heavy that question can feel for someone.
Right now, we are happy. We are peaceful. We are grateful.
We don’t rush blessings that are meant to come in God’s perfect time. A baby is not something you can buy or demand. it’s a gift from God.
If God gives it to us one day, we will be very thankful. And if our story is different, we will still trust His plan for us.
To everyone who is still waiting or being asked the same question again and again, your life is still beautiful, your marriage is still valid, and your happiness is still real.
Sometimes the strongest couples are the ones who keep believing, even while waiting. 🤍
