While the Philippines is world-famous for massive surf breaks like Cloud 9 in Siargao, there is a whole vibrant community of skimboarders and surfers right on the local beaches, tearing up the shorebreaks with absolute ease.

Watching these guys glide across the thin water, pop tricks off the incoming waves, and ride into a brilliant orange and purple sunset is pure magic. It’s a reminder that the best travel experiences aren't just about the famous landmarks—it's about pulling up a spot on the sand, meeting the locals, and watching them do what they love in their own backyard.
