The Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) 2026 unfolded with pride and precision as University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue graced the ceremony, delivering a powerful message of discipline, leadership, and sustained excellence today, April 20, 2026 at Eyeb ground, Bontoc, MP.

In his message, Dr. Cue highlighted that MPSU’s excellence is not accidental but built day by day, formation by formation, and decision by decision. He also noted that the university stands as twice defending champion of RAATI, yet clarified that such title is not worn for comfort but carried with humility echoing Francis Kong’s reminder.

“Success is never owned; it is rented- and the rent is due everyday.”

He also carried a message of confidence and preparedness for the cadets.

“Therefore, Cadets, as you undergo this inspection, do it with confidence, not because you are perfect, but because you are prepared. Prepared to be evaluated. Prepared to be challenged. And prepared to rise once again.”

He further extends his gratitude to the trainers and officers- the quite architects behind every confident cadet for their unwavering commitment to sustained excellence and acknowledge the RAATI Team for upholding standards and reminding MPSU that true champion remain open to growth.

Said event was not only a test of discipline and readiness but also a celebration of unity as MPSU community showed strong support to the RAATI team, affirming the collective spirit that has propelled the university to repeated victories. #

The 14th Regional Community Defense Group Reserve Command, Philippine Army ignites pride and excitement as it unveils RAATI 2026, a dynamic showcase of discipline, leadership, and patriotism in the heart of the Cordillera Administrative Region. This highly anticipated Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection brings together the finest cadets from Abra, Ifugao, Kalinga, Benguet, and Mountain Province, highlighting not only their precision and teamwork but also the rich cultural spirit of Igorot youth.

With synchronized drills, sharp uniforms, and unwavering dedication on display, the event promises an inspiring spectacle that celebrates unity, resilience, and service to the nation—inviting communities to witness firsthand the future defenders of the country in action.

‎Under the leadership of LTC VINCENT A LAUIGAN (AGS) PA , Director of the 1403rd Community Defense Center, participated by SSg Efren R Navarra Jr (SC) PA,a multi-sectoral program on Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Materials and Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) was successfully convened on 27 November 2025 at the Provincial Multipurpose Hall, Bontoc, Mountain Province.

‎The activity gathered representatives from various line agencies together with provincial and municipal officials, reinforcing the collective commitment to safeguard children from both online and offline threats. The presence and active participation of SSg Navarra highlighted the Philippine Army’s role in supporting local government efforts to combat child exploitation and uphold community protection.

‎The activity focused on strengthening inter-agency coordination, enhancing reporting mechanisms, and improving preventive strategies to shield minors from emerging forms of digital and physical abuse. The participating agencies reaffirmed their dedication to promoting child rights and ensuring safer environments across communities. The initiative underscored the importance of unified action, emphasizing that the protection of children is a shared responsibility that requires vigilance, collaboration, and sustained advocacy.

𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲

On September 24, 2025, a joint search and retrieval operation was conducted following the report of a missing person, Mr. Nicolas Laguwed Ol-Olin of Otucan, Bauko, Mountain Province.

The 𝟭𝟰𝟬𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝟭𝟰𝟬𝟯𝗖𝗗𝗖) under the leadership of LTC VINCENT A LAUIGAN (AGS) PA, together with the 𝟭𝟰𝟬𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝟭𝟰𝟬𝟯𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗕𝗻) and the 𝗖𝗔𝗙𝗚𝗨 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝘅𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿𝘆, worked hand in hand with the Bauko, Sabangan, and Sadanga MPS, the PMFC, the BFP, the BJMP, the MDRRMOs, and dedicated community volunteers.

Their united efforts focused along the Chico River, where prayers and determination sustained the long hours of search. Later that day, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) received information about a cadaver discovered at a quarry site in Purok 2, Lanna, Tabuk City, Kalinga. A team was immediately dispatched with the family of the missing person to verify the report. With heavy hearts, the family confirmed the painful truth—that the remains were indeed those of Mr. Nicolas Laguwed Ol-Olin.

Although the outcome was heartbreaking, the operation stood as a powerful testament to unity, service, and compassion. It reflected how, in times of loss, a community can come together not only to search for answers but also to stand with a grieving family in their darkest hour.

May the soul of Mr. Ol-Olin rest in eternal peace 🙏🕊, and may his family find comfort in the love and support of a community that stood beside them.
