Day 3 of OPLAN BYAHENG AYOS: Semana Santa & Summer Vacation 2026.
PCG personnel and PCGA 1505th Squadron remain actively deployed and in close coordination with partner agencies to help ensure safe, orderly, and convenient travel for the public.
As the operation concludes tomorrow, we thank everyone for their continued commitment and cooperation.

In support of OPLAN BYAHENG AYOS: SEMANA SANTA & SUMMER VACATION 2026, the PCGA 1505th Squadron stands alongside Coast Guard Station Surigao del Sur in ensuring safe, secure, and orderly maritime travel within its area of responsibility.
The operation officially commences today, 02 April 2026, and will continue until 05 April 2026.
With all CGSSDS units on heightened alert, the Squadron actively participates in continuous port monitoring, passenger assistance, and the promotion of maritime safety throughout the observance of lenten and the summer vacation season.
Let us all work together for a safe, orderly, and meaningful journey this Semana Santa and summer season.

Coastal Clean-Up and Mangrove Propagation Activity in Bislig City
BISLIG CITY, Surigao del Sur โ The Coast Guard Station Surigao del Sur (CGSSDS) and the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) 1505th Squadron conducted a coastal clean-up on March 21, 2026, at the shoreline of Lawigan, Bislig City.
Participated in by Coast Guard personnel and PCGA members, the activity resulted in the collection of 24 bags of waste, helping reduce marine debris along the shoreline.
Complementing the clean-up drive, a mangrove planting activity was also carried out, with 200 propagules planted through the support of Kagawad Julius Beniga, who provided the propagules and guided participants in proper planting.
A boodle fight for lunch capped the activity, fostering camaraderie among participants.
The initiative highlights the importance of collaboration and continued efforts in protecting coastal environments and promoting sustainability.

Basic Life Support Training Conducted at Coast Guard Station Surigao del Sur
The Coast Guard Station Surigao del Sur (CGSSDS) successfully hosted a 2-Day Basic Life Support (BLS) Training on March 2โ3, 2026, conducted by the Nursing Service โ Northeastern Mindanao.
Through hands-on exercises and practical simulations, participantsโincluding members of the 1505th Squadronโenhanced their knowledge and strengthened their readiness to respond swiftly and effectively during emergencies and crisis situations.
This training reflects the Coast Guardโs continued commitment to professional development, lifesaving capability, and operational readiness in service to the communities we protect and serve.

Coastal Clean-Up at Danipas, Bislig City
Last February 25, 2026, a successful Coastal Clean-Up Activity was conducted along the shoreline of Danipas, Bislig City in partnership with the CGSSDS and the PCGA 1505th Squadron.
Through the collective efforts of the participating volunteers and personnel, a total of 15 bags of waste were collected from the coastal area. The activity highlights the importance of community collaboration in protecting our marine environment and preserving the beauty of our coastlines.
Small actions lead to big impacts. Together, we continue to work toward cleaner shores and a healthier ocean for future generations.
