Our mountains are not for mining.
Our voices are not for silence.
Itโs not only nature that will suffer,
but the people living today โ and even more, the next generation.
Hear the people. Protect the watershed.
Para sa bata. Para sa matatanda. Para sa masa.
Ipamana, huwag ipamina.

We were warmly welcomed by the students with their cultural dance. They were kind, loving, and you could see in their eyes that they are grateful to be a part of this life.
As we celebrate Indigenous People's Month, may this serve as a reminder that we must never leave the Young IPs behind. Let us find ways to include them in the nationโs progress while honoring and preserving their culture. True development is not just about building cities or embracing technology; it is about uplifting every community and ensuring that no one is left unheard or unseen.
Education plays a vital role in this mission. It is through education that the Young IPs can be empowered to protect their heritage, voice their stories, and take part in shaping their future. When we give them access to quality learning, we do not only open doors for opportunityโwe strengthen the roots of their culture and identity. May we build bridges of understanding that allow them to grow while staying grounded in who they are.
As technology continues to advance, may we also increase the visibility and importance of our Indigenous Peoples in our communities. Their wisdom, traditions, and deep connection to the land are invaluable threads that bind our nationโs identity. May we respect their way of life and see them not as people apart from modernization but as integral voices in creating a sustainable and inclusive future.
May this message also reach those in power: the governmentโs efforts should reach even the most far-flung areas where the IPs live, just as swiftly and visibly as their posters do during election season. Development should not stop where the roads end. May we all take part in ensuring that the Indigenous Peoples are not only remembered during commemorations but are continuously included, respected, and empoweredโthrough education, compassion, and genuine actionโfor generations to come.

A safe, nurturing, and inspiring space for our kindergarten learners is on the way! ๐
Through the collaboration of EASTS-TSSP NVSU SC and ACES-JPICE, we envision a child-friendly classroom and mini parkโa haven where kids can learn, play, and grow holistically.
We are currently gathering funds and resources to bring this vision to life. Together, letโs create a space where children can feel secure, express creativity, and build lasting friendships.
