๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: The Silent Threat to Our Planet๐ซ๏ธ๐ฑ
Pollution is the contamination of our environment by harmful substances โ from chemicals, plastics, smoke, sewage, and even noise. These pollutants damage the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the land we live on. When the environment suffers, all living beings suffer too.

โข Segregate and reduce waste
โข Reuse and recycle materials
โข Limit plastic usage
โข Choose eco-friendly transportation
โข Save energy and water
โข Plant more trees

Neon (Ne) the glowing noble gas, known for its bright reddish-orange light
Neon was identified in โ1898 by British chemists Sir William Ramsay and Morris Travers as they examined liquefied air. They chose the name neon, from the Greek "neos" meaning new, since the element was a fresh discovery and stood out as a bright, unfamiliar gas at the time.
Interesting facts:
โข Neon is famously unreactiveโitโs so chemically calm that it refuses to form stable compounds under normal conditions.
โข Run electricity through neon gas and it lights up in a fiery reddish-orange glow, the iconic color behind classic neon signs.
โข Neon ranks as the fifth most abundant element in the entire universe, yet on Earth itโs surprisingly rare, hiding mostly in the atmosphere in tiny amounts.
โข To get pure neon, industries must separate it from liquid air through fractional distillationโa careful, high-tech โsorting processโ for gases.
โข Even though itโs a noble gas, neon is lighter than air and completely non-flammable, making it safe and floaty compared to many gases.
Studying neon helps us understand how elements behave, especially noble gases that barely react. It also shows how chemistry connects to real-life technology like lasers, lights, and screens.

โป๏ธ TRASH-BOT: encouraging change, one bottle at a time! โก
๐ WHAT IS IT?
the "trash-botโข" is an eco-friendly invention by three grade 10 students from parang high school that turns plastic bottles into electricity. ๐งโก users can insert bottles in exchange for about five minutes of gadget charging per bottle. ๐ powered by solar energy โ๏ธ and equipped with sensors, it promotes recycling and renewable energy use while showcasing filipino youth innovation in addressing environmental issues. ๐ต๐ญ๐
โ๏ธ HOW DOES IT WORK?
the trash-bot works through a combination of solar power and smart sensor technology. ๐ค it uses solar panels as its main energy source, making it environmentally friendly and sustainable. ๐ when a user inserts a plastic bottle, the machine's ultrasonic sensors detect it and automatically activate the charging system. ๐ each bottle inserted gives around five minutes of free charging time for devices like phones or tablets, encouraging people to recycle. the machine can accept up to three bottles at a time, allowing users to gain more charging time while cutting down plastic waste. ๐ชซโก๏ธ๐
๐ก WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
โข it promotes proper waste management by giving value to plastic bottles and encouraging recycling. ๐๏ธ
โข it provides a clean-energy solution (via solar power) and a novel way to combine waste recycling and charging infrastructure. โ๏ธ
โข it supports environmental sustainability. ๐ฑ
โจ small steps can create a huge impact! ๐ the trash-bot reminds us that innovation and care for the planet can go hand in hand. ๐ letโs keep supporting ideas that make our world cleaner and greener! ๐โป๏ธ
