Batan Fire Station headed by 𝐒𝐅𝐎𝟑 𝐑𝐞𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐃 𝐀𝐠𝐝𝐚, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, under the direct supervision of 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐎 𝐆 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐃𝐎 Acting Provincial Fire Marshal of Aklan, and under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐄𝐃𝐖𝐈𝐍 𝐏 𝐕𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐒, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director, and with the guidance of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐎 𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐎 𝐍𝐄𝐈𝐋 𝐀 𝐊𝐖𝐀𝐍 𝐓𝐈𝐔, Bureau of Fire Protection Office-in-Charge conducted a 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 for the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) and Girls Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) at Caiyang Elementary School, Batan, Aklan.

The activity aimed to enhance the participants’ knowledge and awareness of fire prevention, fire safety, and proper emergency response procedures. As young leaders and active members of their communities, the Boy Scouts are encouraged to develop the knowledge, discipline, and preparedness necessary to respond appropriately during emergencies.

During the Activity of the 𝐉𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐓 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋-𝐁𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐒𝐏/𝐆𝐒𝐏 𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆, 𝐅𝐎𝟏 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐉𝐡𝐨𝐧 𝐀 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞 served as the Guest Speaker and Resource Speaker, sharing valuable knowledge, practical guidance, and important reminders on fire prevention, fire safety, and emergency preparedness.

His participation emphasized the importance of equipping young scouts with essential knowledge and skills that they can apply during emergencies and share with their families, friends, and communities, thereby contributing to a safer and more prepared community.

Batan Fire Station Personnel, under the supervision of SFO3 Reynold D Agda, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, participated in the National Simultaneous School Safety Drill conducted at Palat Elementary School Batan Aklan.

The activity aimed to strengthen the preparedness and response capabilities of the school community by promoting awareness of proper emergency procedures, evacuation protocols, and fire safety measures. It also provided an opportunity for students, teachers, and school personnel to practice responding calmly and appropriately during emergencies.

The activity is in support of the plans and programs of the Bureau of Fire Protection, under the guidance of FCSUPT WILBERTO RICO NEIL A KWAN TIU, Officer-in-Charge, Bureau of Fire Protection, and FCSUPT EDWIN P VARGAS, DSC, Regional Director, BFP Region 6.
