As the procession neared its end, silence deepened. The Santo Entierro — Christ laid in death — returned to the altar, and with it, the final gestures of grief and reverence.
This is “Ang Paglilibing,” the symbolic burial of Christ, followed by the intimate ritual of “Pahalik sa Santo Entierro.” One by one, devotees approached the glass casket to touch, weep, and whisper prayers, as if time paused for a moment of encounter.
Held at the centuries-old Baras Church — soon to be declared a National Cultural Treasure — this Good Friday did not just recall the past. It invited each of us into the shared sacred present.
This is the closing chapter of Full Visuals’ first story: faith made visible, in light and shadow, gesture and silence.

In the golden light of Good Friday, the quiet town of Baras, Rizal gathered for the commemoration of the Passion and Death of Christ — a living tradition rooted in centuries of devotion.
This is the “Prusisyon ng Pagpapakasakit, Pagkamatay, at Paglilibing” solemnly held at the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Joseph - Baras, Rizal. Through winding streets and candle-lit paths, images of Christ and the saints journeyed alongside the faithful — the echoes of prayer and the scent of incense anchoring the night in sacred silence.
This album documents the heart of the procession: the pasos, the faces of devotion, the shadows of old stone and flickering candlelight. A sacred rhythm, captured in stillness.
