Ang Tanggol Kalikasan Inc., sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa LGU-Baler at San Luis sa pamamagitan ng Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) at Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), katuwang ang Institute of Environmental Governance (IEG) – ASCOT, ay matagumpay na nagsagawa ng Training on Fishery Law Enforcement noong Hunyo 16–18, 2025.

Dinaluhan ang pagsasanay ng mga fish warden at opisyales mula sa mga coastal barangay ng Bayan ng Baler at San Luis. Layunin ng gawain na mapalakas ang kakayahan ng mga lokal na tagapagpatupad ng batas sa pangisdaan at pangkalikasan.

Pinangunahan ng mga eksperto mula sa Tanggol Kalikasan Inc. ang pagbabahagi ng kaalaman sa tamang proseso ng pagdakip, pagbuo ng sinumpaang salaysay, pagsampa ng kaso, at maayos na paghawak ng ebidensya. Nakibahagi rin ang PNP Maritime Group – Aurora bilang mga kalahok at nagbahagi ng kanilang karanasan sa basic apprehension techniques sa mga lumalabag sa batas.

Ito ay isang mahalagang hakbang tungo sa mas matatag na inter-agency collaboration at epektibong pagpapatupad ng mga batas na nagpoprotekta sa ating yamang-dagat at kalikasan.

The Compost Production Implementation Team from the Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM) conducted an inspection and monitoring of the Mechanical Shredder and Small-Scale Composting Facility awarded to LGU-Baler.

The activity was led by: Mr. Glenn Raymund Serrano, Chief Inspector and Implementation Officer and Mr. Adrian Manalaysay, Project Implementation Officer.

They were accompanied and assisted by our hardworking MAO personnel Mr. Ronnie L. Mata – Organic Agriculture Program Focal Person and Ms. Grace Jeleen P. Marigmen – MAO Staff and Mr. Billy Aldrin Veneracion – OPAg Aurora Representative

As part of the visit, the team also paid a courtesy call to Hon. Mayor Rhett Ronan T. Angara, who expressed his full support for advancing organic and sustainable farming practices in the municipality.

This initiative marks another important step in promoting environmentally sound agricultural practices and supporting our local farmers through organic composting and proper waste management.
