The Barkada Kontra Organization of Balayan Senior High School (established in the summer of 2019 in response to a memorandum from the Dangerous Drugs Board of the Philippines) is a peer-based - youth-serving school organization that aims to provide students with Drug/Substance Abuse and related topics (including Alcoholism, Smoking, and so on) awareness as a small to long-term intervention among the youth. The organization plans to offer projects/activities that will engage students while also informing them about the dangers of drugs and other related topics. It also supports projects/activities carried out by other BSHS Organizations, as well as those carried out by the Dangerous Drugs Board, National Youth Commission, Youth Formation Division, and others. As an affiliate of the school's guidance office, the BSHS Barkada Kontra Droga Organization also acts as a security factor for Balayan Senior High School, observing Flag Ceremonies, doing school campus rounds, reporting school rules and regulations violators, and other security management related work such as loitering, smoking, couples' public display of affection, school campus wandering, and so on.
