UNO-R Communication and the Arts Program

Fifteen interns from the BA Communication Program were officially pinned during the 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲, "𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰," held at the Oratory of St. Nicholas of Tolentine on September 27, 2024.

Romelyn Kaye Laud, an alumna of the program, shared some words of wisdom to inspire the interns before they set off to the various fields.

"Every time na kayo ay makakaramdam ng kasiyahan, pagkabigo, at nahihirapan na, just acknowledge it dahil ikukwento mo yan balang araw," said Laud.

The event culminated with the oath-taking of the newly pinned interns, demonstrating their readiness and commitment.

Moreover, Trisha Cabanillas, one of the interns, delivered her response on behalf of the batch.

"On behalf of all the interns, I want to thank you for your support as we set out starting this afternoon to find more of this life's measurable change," Cabanillas highlighted.

The pinning ceremony symbolizes their commitment to putting their skills and knowledge to the test in real-world settings.

Exciting days ahead for the 4th year students of the UNO-Recoletos BA Communication program, as they will have their pinning ceremony, "Bridging Voices, Shaping Future: Empowering the Communicators of Tomorrow," at the St. Nicholas of Tolentine Oratory at 1 p.m. tomorrow.

𝗪𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗔𝗚𝗘!🤍❤️

𝐊𝐡𝐲𝐥𝐞 𝐙𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐂. 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚, a 2nd year student of UNO-R, Inc Bachelor of Arts in Communication claimed the 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 with their short film "𝓐 𝓕𝓵𝓸𝔀𝓮𝓻 𝓪 𝓓𝓪𝔂," during the Bacolod Film Festival 2024 Awards Night, September 15, 2024.

Anasta is the Director of Photography, Editor, Musical Score Head, and Sound Designer of Dulaab Productions.

"Screening our film on the big screen is already a big achievement, but we were also able to grab the Best Musical Score award thanks to my creative musical score team. Dulaab is only starting, and we are the youngest of the grantees. We still have a bright future ahead of us in filmmaking," said Anasta.

Moreover, during the last SineRekoleto, a university filmmaking contest, Anasta won the same recognition.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is celebrating its 57th founding anniversary with the theme "Connected and Resilient Community."

In line with this celebration, the Communication Program is expressing its support for ASEAN's steadfast mission of advocating for inclusivity, connectedness, and resilience.

As a program whose vision is to bridge the gap through communication, we are one with ASEAN in strengthening ties, the digital economy, cultural exchange, and people-to-people connections.

In this fast-paced world, the ability of a nation to stay connected and resilient is crucial. We believe that the power of communication would aid in this.
