Amazing news! As you are reading this, history is being written with the final hurdle to the opening of the ESSU College of Medicine (CM) finally falling into place via its approval by the Commission En Banc of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the institution that governs and sets the standard of higher education in the country.

With this news, Eastern Samar State University now sends out this announcement for those who have already expressed their interest and have lodged their intent. Furthermore, this is a call to the public for more applicants to the pioneering batch of the said college who will complete the remaining open slots, to reach out to us on all channels.

The office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs will be open to accept applicants starting today, June 18, 2026 (Thursday). Interested parties are hereby notified of the admission policies, qualifications and documentary requirements in the slides found on this announcement. All incoming freshmen who took the University Entrance Examination last June 11, 2026 are advised to proceed to their respective colleges and enroll today, even if they have not yet received their entrance examination results.

Please be informed that today is the last day of enrollment. Entrance examination results will be released accordingly, but applicants may already process their enrollment to avoid delays and secure their admission for the First Semester, Academic Year 2026–2027.

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated individual who can handle General Education and Professional Education subjects.

𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐘: 𝐄𝐢𝐝’𝐥 𝐀𝐝𝐡𝐚

Eastern Samar State University will be on holiday break tomorrow, May 27, 2025 in accordance to Proclamation No. 1264 issued by the President of the Philippines declaring it a regular holiday in the entire country in observance of Eid’l Adha.

The proclamation is being ordered in solidarity with the Filipino and the global Muslim community celebrating their Feast of Sacrifice, one of the two most important calendar events of the Islamic faith.
