The Local Government of Allen, led by Mayor Katkat Suan through the Municipal Tourism Office headed by Ms. Bevy Ivy S. Nalda, proudly joins the celebration of World Tourism Month 2025 with the global theme “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation.”

This year’s World Tourism Day highlights tourism’s power as a driver of positive change—advancing education, employment, cultural exchange, and sustainable growth. As we celebrate, let us be reminded that every journey holds the potential to create lasting impact on communities, people, and the planet.

This afternoon, a golden sunset painted the skies of Allen, casting warm hues over the calm and serene landscape of the municipality. #AllInAllen

𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗧𝗖 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

In light of reports concerning students cutting classes, the Allen Town Center Management hereby announces that, starting August 11, students are strictly prohibited from entering or staying at Allen Town Center during official class hours and lunchtime.

Any student found in violation of this directive will be reported to the guidance office of his or her respective school, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and the Barangay Local Government Unit (LGU).

This measure is enforced to promote discipline and ensure that students attend their classes during scheduled school hours. We respectfully request the full cooperation of the public in implementing this policy.

𝗗𝗢𝗧 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻

The Department of Tourism – Eastern Visayas brought its flagship values-based training to Allen as it conducted the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Training on Thursday, 7th of August. The 8-hour session was held at the New Allen Municipal Hall, in close partnership with the Local Government of Allen through the Municipal Tourism Office headed by Ms. Bevy Ivy S. Nalda.

This initiative was part of DOT’s ongoing commitment to uplift service quality across the tourism and hospitality sector by reinforcing the core values that define Filipino hospitality. Serving as the resource speaker was Ms. Emily Jill T. Nival, a DOT-accredited FBSE Regional Trainor, who guided participants through a comprehensive training that combined theoretical frameworks with interactive activities.

The training covered four major modules: The Philippine Tourism Industry Situationer and the Rise Journey, The 7Ms of Filipino Hospitality and Service Excellence, The G.U.E.S.T. Steps of Service Excellence, and The H.E.A.R.T. of Service Recovery. Beyond lectures, participants also engaged in discussions on Filipino values and took part in role-playing exercises that simulated real-life guest service scenarios, allowing them to apply the principles they had learned.

Participants included owners and staff of local food establishments, accommodation providers, and personnel from the Local Government of Allen. Municipal Councilor Ola Jowon Gubat, who chairs the committee on tourism, was also in attendance to show support for the program.

Through this collaboration, the Department of Tourism – Eastern Visayas and the Municipality of Allen aim to strengthen the capability of local tourism stakeholders and promote a service culture rooted in warmth, resilience, and excellence.

With a forward-looking vision rooted in integrity, competence, and excellence, Mayor Katrina Mae E. Suan presents Allen 2040: A Vision for a Resilient, Empowered, and Progressive Allen—the executive agenda that charts her administration’s priorities and long-term goals.

This roadmap builds on the groundwork laid by her predecessor and husband, former Mayor Joey Suan, whose years of dedicated service brought significant progress to the municipality. Mayor Katkat’s leadership continues this legacy while ushering in a new phase of inclusive and sustainable development.

Guided by five strategic pillars, this long-term plan addresses today’s needs while preparing Allen for a future defined by opportunity, equity, and resilience. Each pillar sets a clear direction for impactful and lasting change.

𝗔 - 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀
This pillar champions the right of every Allenian to access essential services. It focuses on improving healthcare, nutrition, and education—especially for vulnerable groups such as children, youth, women, senior citizens, and persons with special needs. Through better programs and strengthened support systems, the goal is to foster a healthy, well-educated, and socially secure community.

𝗟 - 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁
To build a stronger local economy, the agenda supports micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), farmers, fisherfolk, cooperatives, and tourism-based livelihoods. The aim is to expand income opportunities through capacity-building programs, financial support, and access to markets and investments—empowering every sector to grow and thrive.

𝗟 - 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲
Allen 2040 envisions a town that is not only growing but also safe, accessible, and disaster-resilient. This pillar prioritizes the development and maintenance of roads, water systems, drainage, school facilities, and public spaces that promote community well-being and long-term resilience in the face of climate and environmental challenges.

𝗘 - 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Recognizing the increasing urgency of the climate crisis, this pillar advances environmental protection and responsible stewardship of Allen’s natural resources. It includes improved waste management systems, stronger environmental safeguards, and community-based disaster preparedness efforts to build resilience across all barangays.

𝗡 - 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗘𝗿𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲
At the heart of the agenda is a vision of governance that is transparent, accountable, and participatory. Mayor Suan’s leadership promotes digital transformation, institutional reforms, and consistent capacity-building for public servants—ensuring that government services are delivered with integrity, competence, and efficiency.

Together, these five pillars form the foundation of Allen 2040, a vision where every Allenian lives with dignity, security, and shared prosperity—anchored in values of Matino (integrity), Magaling (competence), and Mahusay (excellence in service).
