📢 Sa mga pangyayari nitong mga nagdaang panahon, mahalagang may mapagkukunan tayo ng tama at napapanahong impormasyon. 🕯️ 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐈𝐃𝐒 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 ❤️

Last May 20, 2026, Alabel Peer Educators Inc. was invited by the Red Ribbon Hub to take part in the celebration of the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial held at Sarangani Provincial Hospital together with partner organization IDEALS Inc.

The activity gathered healthcare workers, advocates, and community members in remembrance, awareness, and hope for everyone affected by HIV and AIDS.

The program formally opened with the Opening Remarks of Ms. Elvira R. Morales, RN, MAN, Red Ribbon Hub Manager, followed by an inspiring message from Dr. Aileen M. Brion, MD, MBA-HA, Chief of Hospital of Sarangani Provincial Hospital, who emphasized the importance of compassion, unity, and continued awareness in addressing HIV and AIDS in the community.

The rationale of the activity was presented by Joey P. Babayen-on, RN, HACT Nurse, highlighting the importance of remembering lives lost, supporting people living with HIV, and strengthening collective efforts toward ending stigma and discrimination.

The celebration concluded with the Closing Remarks of Dr. Lormie B. Casilan, HACT Physician, encouraging everyone to continue becoming instruments of awareness, acceptance, and hope.

Together, we light candles not only to remember, but also to inspire action, understanding, and love for every individual affected by HIV and AIDS. 🕯️❤️

🕯️ 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄, 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐄 ❤️

The 2026 International AIDS Candlelight Memorial was successfully held last May 17, 2026, Sunday at 5:00 PM at Tokawal Covered Court through the collective efforts of SK Baluntay, SK Tokawal, and SK Domolok.

The activity became a meaningful gathering of remembrance, awareness, and solidarity for everyone affected by HIV and AIDS. Present during the celebration were Donna H. Labaniego-Khan, Municipal Head Nurse, Mr. Mark James Jabines, RN, MAN, together with Red Ribbon Hub, Joey P. Babayen-on, RN, Red Ribbon Hub, HACT Manager-on, and community partners who continuously support HIV awareness, education, and advocacy in the municipality.

Through the lighting of candles and shared messages of hope, the community was reminded that every life matters, every story deserves to be heard, and stigma has no place in building a healthier and more compassionate society. 🕯️❤️

Day 3 of the A PEER TAYO! Peer Educators’ Training was a celebration of learning, growth, and the friendships built throughout the three-day journey.

The participants were recognized for their active participation and completion of the training, marking an important milestone as they begin their journey as peer educators in the community. The day was also filled with heartfelt messages from guests and facilitators who encouraged the youth to continue becoming positive influences and safe spaces for fellow young people.

As the training ended, the participants carried home not only new knowledge and experiences, but also stronger confidence, meaningful connections, and a renewed passion to serve and inspire others.

Day 2 of the A PEER TAYO! Peer Educators’ Training was filled with honest conversations, shared experiences, and meaningful learning. Through interactive activities, workshops, and role-playing sessions, the participants learned in a way that was fun, relatable, and easy to understand. 🌱

The discussions focused on teenage pregnancy, responsibility and reproduction, together with the Usapang Barkadahan session where the youth were given a safe space to ask questions, express their thoughts, and learn from one another without fear of judgment.

More than just gaining knowledge, the day became an opportunity to build confidence, strengthen friendships, and remind the youth that their voices, choices, and experiences matter. 💙
