At sunset, high above the Medina, our final evening in Marrakesh unfolded under a lattice of lantern light.

A long table, shared stories, and that moment when everything softens just enough to take it in. From the rooftop, the city hummed below while the sky shifted into night. Joel raised a glass—not just to the journey, but to the people who shaped it: easy laughter, open hearts, and connections that linger.

Grateful for nights like this, and for this beautiful journey together.

During our journey through Morocco, our Zoom Vacations group stayed in a breathtaking kasbah that felt like stepping into another world. Think intricate tilework, sun-drenched courtyards, flickering lantern light, and lush greenery juxtaposed with the desert in the distance.

Our evening brought us together under the stars, surrounded by the quiet magic of this oasis in the desert and the next morning started slow with mint tea and golden light pouring over ancient walls.

It’s these moments—where history, beauty, and connection all collide—that make travel unforgettable.

Note: A kasbah also spelled qasbah, qasba, qasaba, or casbah, is a fortress, most commonly a North African citadel or fortified quarter of a city.

Drenched in every shade of blue, Chefchaouen feels almost unreal 💙

Here, it’s not just a street or a corner—the entire city is washed in blue. Walls, staircases, doorways, even the quietest back alleys are layered in soft sky tones, deep indigo, and everything in between. It creates this calm, almost hypnotic atmosphere where you can wander for hours and never see the same shade twice.

The tradition dates back centuries, when Jewish refugees fleeing the Spanish Inquisition settled here in the 15th century. They brought with them the custom of painting buildings blue as a symbol of spirituality and a reminder of heaven. Over time, the entire city embraced it—and today, it’s what makes Chefchaouen one of the most visually striking places in the world.

It’s peaceful, it’s poetic, and somehow even more magical in person. We surprised our group with sunset cocktails on the roof of our riad overlooking the city.

Our last night on our tour of Sri Lanka, celebrating all things Sri Lankan: the food, the people, the culture, and the attire 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Between a rock and a hard cocktail, our afternoon cliffside happy hour was truly set in stone, where mineral spirits met nature’s barstool, geology style.
I guess you could say we enjoyed cocktails on the rocks (literally) in Sri Lanka and we took. One of this for granite. 🤪

Inside the ancient caves of Dambulla Cave Temple, time slows down and the walls tell stories in gold and paint.
A climb, a quiet moment, and a whole lot of history—this place hits different.

Today we spent Valentine's Day on Sigiriya (Lion Rock), one of Sri Lanka’s most famous landmarks 🇱🇰
• A massive 200-meter (660-foot) rock fortress built in the 5th century by King Kashyapa.
• Named for the huge stone lion’s paws that once guarded the entrance.
• Known for its ancient frescoes, mirror wall inscriptions, and sophisticated water gardens.
• UNESCO World Heritage Site and often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.”
• About 1,200 steps to the top—hot, but worth it for the views.
