Musically adventurous group from Swindon, UK, who first made an impact as a post-punk new wave band but have refused to be pigeonholed, recording dub, folk-rock, psychedelia and pure pop as the mood takes them. Original line-up was Andy Partridge (voice & guitar), Colin Moulding (bass & vocals), Barry Andrews (keyboards - replaced by Dave Gregory in 1979) and Terry Chambers (drums - replaced by Peter Phipps in 1982).

UK group that were part of the 'New Romantic' scene. Originally a punk band called X-Ray Spex but in 1979 renamed themselves Classix Nouveaux after singer Poly Styrene was replaced by Sal Solo and radically changed their musical style in the process. CN became fairly succesful in many countries, playing to crowds of up to 25,000 people. Their final appearances came in 1985 after which they split up, with Sal Solo going on to start a solo career.

German musician, born in 1960 in Celle, Germany. Gudrun currently runs the Monika Enterprise and Moabit Musik labels, was an early member of Einstürzende Neubauten and most famously founded the 1980s band Malaria!. She has collaborated with Blixa Bargeld, Anita Lane, Thomas Fehlmann, etc.
