Entre agosto 2018 y noviembre 2019, donamos 1.398 libros de El Hipo Volador a niños jóvenes y sus familias en Lima y Huancavelica. Esto nos lleva a 3.848 libros donados entre 2017 y 2019!! En Lima, donamos libros en San Martin de Porres, Los Olivos, Carabayllo, Manchay y San Juan de Miraflores junto con Marina Chiappe Gutiérrez, Maria Valderrama Calderon, Vicky Abregu, Lizzete Najarro, y Fiorella Guerrero y WarmaKuna Hope. En Huancavelica, donamos libros en Alto Sihua, Corralpampa, Huachocolpa y Yanaututo con Asociación Caritas Graciosas. From Aug 2018 to Nov 2019, we donated 1,398 El Hipo Volador books to young children and their families in Lima and Huancavelica. This brings us to 3,848 books donated between 2017 and 2019!! Donations of 1,398 books to children and their families in different communities in Lima and Huancavelica.

Donation of The Flying Hippo book to 150 families in Villa El Salvador, in Lima, from January to April 2018. These families are part of the LIBRE Perú. Many thanks to everyone who donated or bought a book to enable the donation of these books!

The families love the LIBRE project and they are loving reading with their children. The parents and caregivers love it, the babies love it... and their older sibling love it too! :)

Throughout 6 months, each family will receive 3 amazing children's books along with reading tips from the LIBRE team. The LIBRE team loves reading and works to encourage LIBRE families that reading with their young children is both beneficial for their development, as well as a special bonding moment between child and caregiver!

Since May, we have been working with 150 families in Villa El Salvador, in the south of Lima... to tell them about the power of reading... and motivate them to read with their babies aged 9 to 11 months... yes, little ones!

In addition to donating over 600 books to low-income families in different parts of Peru since February, we have also been busy implementing the LIBRE project in Lima.
LIBRE means “free” and LIBRO means "book"... an important play on words since reading offers great freedom, improving current and future outcomes for young children.
