Photographer | Videographer Firas & Razan are fashion and beauty photographers from Oman, currently based in Muscat.

They specialize in photography and high-end retouching. While attending University of Leicester in England, the two started "Luminosity" as a partnership in their first year of law school in 2012. Following that, they moved to Los Angeles to pursue their careers as fashion photographers and intellectual property lawyers. Since then, they have worked in Oman, United Kingdom, Los Angeles, Miami and hosted multiple photography and Photoshop workshops.

Sell the feeling, not just the plate. 🍛

🍝 You don’t always need to be fancy. You don’t need to always showcase perfect plates either. You don’t always need to make a full movie. You don’t need to be the funniest. You don’t need a million influencers. But motion conveys emotion. Use it in your favor.

🍟 Sometimes in all honesty, you don’t even need all the imagery as much, you need to work on your quality. It’s not just your Instagram page to blame. Focus on healthy and robust operations too. Get the right team and create an environment for them to grow with your concept.

🥗 “We can’t show it this way, customers will get upset”… Not really, If you’re doing it with conviction, with clear understanding of how to share brand values, and you have staff managing expectations well; Clients will understand the difference between the advert and the actual experience.
The experience can be better even. Why don’t we aim for the real deal to overshadow the imagery?
Think about that.

🥘 Also, if it’s aesthetics you’re worried about - If you don’t have extravagant spaces - then you find concepts that are not linked to your physical space. Focus on your audience and find a way to still nudge them towards who you are.

🍔 If you don’t know how to do this, you don’t have a grasp on your brand. You took the express way into the industry, you want to save money to make money, and now you’re trying to find your way in the middle of all this traffic.
You look lost and it shows.

Either way, if lost just remember, a little authenticity can go a long way.
