وقّعت الجامعة الألمانية للتكنولوجيا في عُمان (GUtech) مذكرة تفاهم مع نماء لخدمات المياه، في خطوة جديدة نحو تعزيز التعاون في مجالات التدريب، وتبادل المعرفة، والاستدامة، والمشاركة المجتمعية.

وقّعت المذكرة كلٌّ من الاستاذة حنان البلوشية، مديرة التعلم والتطوير في نماء لخدمات المياه، والاستاذة مارية البلوشية، مديرة الدراسات العليا في الجامعة الألمانية للتكنولوجيا في عمان.

ويهدف هذا التعاون إلى استكشاف فرص مشتركة في التدريب والتطوير، وبرامج تبادل المعرفة، وتنفيذ مبادرات تسهم في تعزيز كفاءة الطاقة والاستدامة ورفع الوعي المجتمعي.

وتعكس هذه الشراكة التزام الجامعة بتعزيز التعاون مع شركائها من مختلف القطاعات، وربط الخبرات الأكاديمية بالتطوير المهني والأثر المستدام في المجتمع.

The German University of Technology in Oman GUtech has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nama Water Services, marking a new step towards strengthening cooperation in training, knowledge exchange, sustainability, and community engagement.

The MoU was signed by Ms Hanan Al Balushi, Learning and Development Manager at Nama Water Services, and Ms Marya Al Balushi, Manager of Graduate Studies at GUtech.

Through this collaboration, both organizations aim to explore opportunities for joint training and development initiatives, exchange programmes, and activities that promote energy efficiency, sustainability, and community awareness.

This partnership reflects GUtech’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with key industry partners and connecting academic expertise with professional development and sustainable community impact.

بدعم من OQEP، وضمن برنامج تميّز للتدريب والتطوير، وقّع المهندس محمد الناعبي، الرئيس التنفيذي للجمعية العُمانية للطاقة (أوبال)، اتفاقية تنفيذ المرحلة الثانية من البرنامج مع معهد عُمان لخدمات التدريب (OITS)، في خطوة مهمة نحو إطلاق برنامج القدرات الفريدة (UAA) في سلطنة عُمان، كأول تطبيق للبرنامج خارج الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.

من خلال برنامج UAA، ننظر إلى الشباب من طيف التوحد من منظور مختلف؛ نرى الدقة، والتركيز، والقدرة، ونسعى إلى تحويل هذه الإمكانات إلى مهارات وفرص مهنية حقيقية في مجالات التصنيع وتقنيات CNC.

لأن الفرصة تبدأ عندما نغيّر الطريقة التي ننظر بها.

With the support of OQEP, under the Tamayuz Training and Development Program, Eng. Mohammed Al Naabi, Chief Executive Officer of the Oman Energy Association (OPAL), signed the agreement with the Oman Institute for Training Services (OITS) to implement the programme’s second phase, marking an important step toward launching the Uniquely Abled Academy (UAA) in Oman, the first implementation of the programme outside the United States.

Through UAA, we look differently at young people on the autism spectrum, recognizing their precision, focus, and abilities, and transforming these strengths into meaningful skills and career opportunities in manufacturing and CNC technologies.

Because opportunity begins when we change the way we look.

تفخر الجامعة الألمانية للتكنولوجيا في عُمان (GUtech) بمشاركة الطالب راشد بن محمد الشكيلي في منتدى لندن الدولي للشباب والعلوم (LIYSF)، أحد أبرز المنتديات العلمية الدولية للشباب، والذي يجمع سنويًا أكثر من 500 مشارك من أكثر من 90 دولة، في برنامج حافل بالمحاضرات العلمية، والزيارات البحثية، وورش العمل التي تعزز الابتكار والتعاون العلمي.

وخلال المنتدى، يمثل راشد الجامعة من خلال مشروعه “نظام ذكي للكشف عن تسربات المياه”، والذي يوظف الطائرات بدون طيار، والتصوير الحراري، وتقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي للكشف المبكر عن تسربات الأنابيب تحت الأرض وتحديد مواقعها بدقة، بما يسهم في الحد من فاقد المياه ودعم استدامة الموارد المائية في سلطنة عُمان. نتمنى له كل التوفيق في تمثيل الجامعة على هذا المحفل العلمي الدولي.

The German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) is proud to announce the participation of its student, Rashid bin Mohammed Al Shukaili, in the London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF), one of the world’s leading international science forums for young people. The forum annually brings together more than 500 participants from over 90 countries for a programme of scientific lectures, research visits, and workshops that promote innovation and global collaboration.

Representing GUtech, Rashid will present his project, “An Intelligent System for Detecting Water Leakages,” which integrates unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), thermal imaging, and artificial intelligence to detect and accurately locate underground pipeline leakages. The project aims to reduce water loss while supporting smart infrastructure and water sustainability in the Sultanate of Oman. We wish Rashid every success in representing GUtech at this prestigious international forum.

استضافت الجامعة الألمانية للتكنولوجيا في عُمان يوم 7 يوليو 2026 وفداً من شركة بيئة ضمن فعاليات برنامج مِسبار الصيفي. وتعرّف الطلبة، من خلال عروض تفاعلية وأنشطة تطبيقية، على مفاهيم الاستدامة، وكفاءة استخدام الطاقة، وإدارة النفايات، والابتكار الأخضر. وأسهمت الزيارة في تعزيز الوعي البيئي لدى المشاركين، وإبراز أهمية تبني الممارسات المستدامة لبناء مستقبل أكثر استدامة.

As part of the Misbar Summer Programme, the German University of Technology in Oman welcomed a delegation from Be'ah on 7 July 2026. Through engaging presentations and interactive activities, students explored key topics including sustainability, energy efficiency, waste management, and green innovation. The visit provided participants with practical insights into environmental responsibility and highlighted the importance of adopting sustainable practices to support a greener future.
