It has been a fun few weeks in the salon with some daring colors and long hair restyles👌

I love how layering makes the hair move💁‍♀️

Dear Alchemy VIPs,
I thought it was a good time to touch base with you all to let you know how I intend to avoid salon isolation closures due to Omicron being out and about.
Firstly it's only me in the salon along with (most often) a maximum of 2 customers at a time and as I have 4 work stations there is 2-4 meters distance between stations depending on where I seat you.
Since the first lockdown I've been keeping up sanitizing of all areas that are in use.
All capes, towels, combs etc are washed or disenfected after every use.
The government also requires everyone in the salon to wear a mask for the duration of the hair service unless you have a valid exemption. (So far I have not cut anyone's strings 😄😷)
Trust me if it wasn't for a really good reason I would prefer not to wear a mask for 12 hours a day, but it is one of the easiest ways to avoid passing on unwanted bugs.
There is also sanitizer and scan in QR codes on the front desk and a vaccine pass requirement.
And obviously if you are sick please stay home and I can reschedule your appointment.
I really hope we can avoid any 24 day closures.

Dear Alchemy customers,
As you may be aware businesses are having to require vaccine passports from 11.59pm on 3rd December.
As I need to work in each traffic light we will require a vaccine passport sign in or for it to be sighted.
But we are able to see everyone in the green light.
It is a very sad and disappointing time for us all as we love all our customers and respect their choice around this.
But the saddest news I have is Sarah and her partner have been offered a amazing position on the farm they live on and she will be leaving Alchemy, and next Friday will be her last day. I will miss her terribly as we have worked together for a amazing 6 years. 😓
But wish them all the best.
I will be extending my work hours for those customers of hers that would still like to come in. Please be aware it is a very busy time for us hairdressers so some appointment times may need to be altered.

We find out today when we can move to level 2.
We know everyone will want their hair done asap😄.
In fairness to all we will be doing our best to rebook everyone who was originally booked in thorough lockdown to be booked in around the bookings we already have during the coming weeks.
We're all in a similar position and will be working extra days and hours to accommodate as many customers as we can.
We appreciate your patience and will be in contact with you as soon as possible.
