It has recently been brought to our attention that there is a marketplace scam - Shipping Containers-Direct - trying to gain validity to their operations by fraudulently using our company business number in their email signature. I have notified the police and filed complaints with the relevant NZ fraud offices.

We suggest that any person in communications with this company and or representatives: Mike Hansen, and Andrew Jones; immediately report this to the NZ Police to add in helping get this outfit shut down.

All of our new AGRADE shipping containers implement patented EOD &/ EOD2 technology.

Only one right door handle, so no need to use both hands when opening.
Longer handle provides better leverage when opening and closing, meaning that the door will open with a lighter pull.
Rubber grip on the handle, provides a safer and more comfortable grip.
Grease fittings on the hinges provide smoother operation, throughout the box life.
Secura cam/keeper at bottom of locking rod for additional security if needed.

The new EOD2 however has a simplified one-move easy motion. The locking rod is also positioned more centrally on the door which provides more “lift” off the door seal from the door frame. This system is more user friendly and results in a much smoother door action.

THE SEVEN QUESTIONS TEST
New containers may all look alike on the outside but what's going on under the surface?

There can be a big difference in quality, durability and capibility between a low specification and high specification box.

So when you purchase a shipping container, no matter who is selling it to you, we strongly advise you to ask them the following seven questions and then compare with our specs listed below.

1. What is the tare weight? (This is the weight of the empty box. Less weight means less material has been used to build the box.)

2. How thick are the panels for the roof, door and front?
*t 2.0 mm

3. How thick are the side panels? For each of the five panels
*2 x 2.0 mm outer; 3 x 1.6 mm inner

4. How strong is the floor payload test?
*7,260 kg

5. How many years is the paint gauranteed for?
*5 years

6. What is the composition of the external paint? Specifically the thickness of the Zinc rich primer
* Zinc primer - 30 micron; Middle coat - 40 micron; Top coat - 40 micron; Total - 110 micron

7. What special features does the box have?
*Patented Easy Open door with rubber coated handle. Grease fittings on door hinges. High locking handles. Fitted lock box. Four vents per side. Fork pockets.
