⨠Mataatua Marae ā Project Milestone Update āØ
Proud to share that Stage One of the Mataatua Marae redevelopment has now been successfully completed, marking a major step forward for the whÄnau and this important kaupapa.
Weāre also pleased to confirm that funding for Stage Two has now been secured, allowing the project to move confidently into the final stage of the build.
Itās a privilege to support the marae, its trustees and whÄnau as they bring their vision to life ā strengthening a place named for Mataatua, one of the great waka said to reside in the Takou River below the site. A site with deep history and deep connection.
A special acknowledgement to our build partners, Procraft Construction Management, whose mahi and commitment have been central to reaching this milestone.
NgÄ mihi to everyone involved so far.
Exciting progress ahead as we move into the home stretch. šš”āØ

We were so excited about this Te Whare Reo Rua project, we got the drone out and took some footage! Check it out on our page.
Huge thanks to Tauraroa Area School, and Te Parawhau for the event
We were privileged to be present for the tuwhera of Te Whare Reo Rua at Tauraroa Area School.
Constructing a whare like this one never gets old. The design (Mandeno Design) and ex*****on of this build (NPM Construction) are exceptional.
This is a first classroom handover of the larger capital works project at Tauraroa Area School and we are proud that it has been delivered ahead of schedule.

We love seeing teams bringing communities together. Always proud to support Northland FC. Keep up the good energy!
The dedicated volunteers at Coastguard Whangaruru are the lifeline for a vast stretch of coastline, from Cape Brett to the Poor Knights islands. However, their ability to respond swiftly to emergencies was being challenged by their shore-side facilities. The existing boat shed was cramped, lacking the space and essential amenities needed to support the crew and securely house their vessel.
We were privileged to manage the extension and upgrade of their boat shed, delivering a purpose-built facility that directly addresses these challenges. With an expanded vessel berth, new bathroom, and significant structural improvements, the crew now has the support they need on land to do their lifesaving work at sea. This project ensures they can operate more efficiently, and continue to keep their community safe on the water.

At Scope, weāre proud to have played a leading role in the delivery of Papa Hawaiki ā a vibrant multi-sports and community complex in Kaikohe. This project was more than just construction; it was about creating a space that reflects the heart of the community, celebrates NgÄpuhi identity, and supports youth development across 25 sporting codes.
Our team provided expert project management, quantity surveying, and engineering consultancy, navigating environmental challenges, tight budgets, and complex stakeholder relationships. Under Trevor Griffithsā leadership, Scope ensured the project stayed on track, on budget, and true to its kaupapa.
Client Testimonial:
Suzee Ross ā Board Chairperson, Kaikohe and Districts Sportsville and Sports Coordinator at Northland College, Kaikohe:
āWe are internally grateful to Trevor for his assistance of getting this project over the line and complete. His support with our funders was invaluable and I believe he had a true heart for Kaikohe and a real desire to see this much needed facility finally happen for our community.
Trevor and his hardworking team are one of the reasons that our amazing Sports Complex āPapa Hawaikiā stands and is a bustling community hub for our Kaikohe Community today.
Trevor saw this project through from beginning to end and needs to be congratulated for his superb leadership skills and passion to see yet another successful state-of-the-art building project through to completion.ā
Weāre honoured to have helped bring this community vision to life.
