Heritage Week ☝🏾

Heritage is about where we come from, the traditions we share, and the stories that make us who we are.

This week, we’re celebrating the many cultures that make our Club special. From our players, management, and board members to our volunteers and supporters, it’s the people and their heritage that bring our club to life.

A nice bonus that Heritage Week also falls during Samoan Language Week 🇼🇸

Round 8 at home 🫡

“Ole upega e fili ile po, ae tatala ile ao.”
The fishing net is knotted at night, but untangled in the morning. This weekend, the kid from THE O2, Daniel Tafili, earns his Ories blazer as he runs out for his 50th.

Cheeky, loyal, and an absolute character, you’ve always brought life to every team you’ve been part of. The ultimate competitor. You play with a fire that lifts everyone around you. The same fire you’ve had since you first put on the Ories jersey as a junior and now, “the owner” of a senior blazer.

A great friend, teammate, and person. Your work ethic is unmatched. Has the banter of doom, always has a cheeky comeback for the boys, but is poised and wise beyond his years.

You are the product of a great family. Parents, Fiaula and Luisa, who have stood at every game, who taught you loyalty, humility, and love. Your siblings, Tavita, Lesi 🕊️, Samson and extended family who shaped your strength and identity. Their support has been your anchor and compass. Mālō le fai aiga lelei. Mālō le onosa’i.

2026 hasn’t been easy. It’s tested you in ways no one should ever face. The tragic loss of your beloved sister, Lesi - your nemesis & best friend, has left a space no one can fill. Yet you have carried her with you, in every step, in every game, in every breath. She would be so proud of the man you continue to be.

And in the midst of heartbreak, life blessed you with your first-born son last week. A moment that changes everything. A new purpose. A new fire. A new legacy. Your partner, Heavaln, your best friend and greatest supporter, has stood beside you through every high and every storm. Together, you’ve built a life grounded in love, resilience, and joy.

A Jubilee Cup winner in your rookie season. A blazer a few years later. You are destined for greatness. Your Ories aiga are privileged to honour your 50th, but more privileged to honour the man, the father, the partner, the son, the brother, the teammate, and the warrior you are.

Mālō le finau, Mālō le sa’ili mālō, Fa’afetai le fa’aea o aiga ma nu’u. Viia le agalelei ole Alii.

Thank you to all our players for your efforts today. Great to see the Vato’s out there having a jam. Vi’ia Le Ali’i.

Thank you to our friends from the Norths Premier Women’s team, and the Petone Premier Men and Prem 2 sides for today. As well as the OBU Mixed Veges. All the very best for the rest of the season.

We keep on keeping on. New Week, with New Learnings and New Blessings - Fai Fai a Nice!

Squads for the Weekend 🫡

14/05/2026

You don’t walk a journey to arrive; you walk it to become.

In 2016, a gentle, soft‑spoken 17‑year‑old girl from St. Catherine’s College found the courage to step into something bigger than herself. With the love of her family and friends behind her, she began a journey. A journey of uncertainty yet hopeful, challenging yet rewarding. A journey of becoming. A journey that has carried her all the way to 100 Premier games.

This Saturday, we honour and celebrate the love and commitment of Paige Va’auli‑Aiono to Premier Women’s rugby.
We celebrate and acknowledge her journey with MSP, the club that shaped her and further enhanced her love for rugby; the place where she bled, fought, laughed and grew. Where teammates became sisters. Where she became a champion. Where she transformed from a girl into a woman, a mother, and a wife.

What a beautiful journey it has been. A true full‑circle moment—Paige reaching her 100th Premier game in the very jersey she first wore as a junior. Your bro would be so proud 🕊️

Malo lava le fa’amalosi. Malo le onosa’i. Vi’ia le Ali’i. Congratulations Paige to you and your beautiful family on this great milestone. Another Premier Centurion rising from the Hills of Strathmore.
