'Better work stories' - a super inspiring visit with some of our Trustees to Te Kahu Tiu - great aspirations and a superb vision for rangatahi in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

We were fortunate to host our awesome supporters from JR McKenzie Trust for a hui this week. We’re incredibly grateful to the McKenzie family and Trust team for their immense support of Te Kāhu Tiu over the past couple of years, in particular for generously funding our Program Manager’s salary, so that Jai can build the founding documentation for our kaupapa. A huge shout out to their CEO Robyn Scott, who is soon to retire. Robyn your support for and belief in Te Kāhu Tiu has been immensely appreciated and crucial in getting us closer to launching. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and wishing you well for your next chapter.

Proud to be co funding -
Some pretty concerning results in the first survey of its kind in Aotearoa! Thanks at Shamubeel Equab and colleagues 👏

TTF is proud to have co-funded a significant research initiative led by The Helen Clark Foundation, examining social cohesion in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Authored by economists Shamubeel Eaqub and Rosie Collins, the report reveals that New Zealanders are currently experiencing lower levels of happiness, trust in government, and financial satisfaction than Australians, among other sobering insights.

While this survey reveals a growing division, it reinforces the need for New Zealand to address the underlying causes of social and economic issues. At the official launch of this report, Shamubeel Eaqub rightly emphasized: "We must start conversing with each other, instead of trying to convert."

Since the report's public release, The Helen Clark Foundation and NetsafeNZ, have been campaigning on how to improve social cohesion through small, actionable steps.
