I know that I'm going to be very busy tomorrow with family members, firstly into Centrepoint with my lovely future daughter-in-law Trish to view fabric for her wedding gown for early next year then in the afternoon off to Alicia (neice) and Adam's wedding, I have had the pleasure of creating all the beautiful gowns and as I'm the dresser as well get to see them all first. It is always great to see the brides dressed on the day and even better when it's a family member. All the best Alicia and Adam for your future life together as you start down this new path, have a fantastic day as I'm sure you will.

Work in progress

It's finally here Noa, your wedding day, hope all goes well for you and all the planning that has been done falls into place, I am going to miss you and your 12 girls coming in for fitting, my rooms were filled with fun and laughter and never seemed big enough, it is the biggest wedding party group that I have worked with but a real pleasure. Best wishes for your future and I look forward to seeing the photo's at a later stage.

It's finally happened, my new website is now up and running, I 'm sooooo happy with it , a big thank you to Marilyn and her team for all the long hours they have put into getting it of the ground again, so now spread the word so everyone can view it.www.monikamodes.co.nz.

What a day, finally got the last 2 bridesmaids gowns cut this morning for Noa's wedding then spent most of the afternoon and this evening cutting and making the strips for hand made flowers, forgot how long these fiddly things take, most of the girls have now had their 1st fittings but I don't see the 3 from overseas until the week of the wedding.

I've been flat out working on Noa's bridal party, 13 gowns in total all but 4 now made and fitted which is great 2 girls are coming from overseas and will not be here until the week of the wedding, at this stage all is going to plan, thank goodness.

On the 12th August 2002 Monika Modes salon and workroom were opened for the 1st time, what an amazing journey this has been for me meeting and working for so many fantastic brides, bridesmaids and bridal parties in general, it has been the best move ever in my dressmaking career which spans almost 40 years. I am so lucky work in such a happy industry and have had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful and amazing people and look forward many more years. A big thank you to everyone who has supported me and Monika Modes over these
