A little bit of Christmas crafting from my desk 🎄❤️

I’ve been feeling a bit creative deficient lately 😂 — wanting to make something, but then sitting down and having absolutely no idea what to do. So I pulled out the Uniquely Creative Festive Little Things Ideas Booklet and decided to follow one of the projects to get the creative ideas flowing again.
And it worked! I made five cards following along, making little changes on some.

I then had my mojo back so I made this cute stepped Christmas card and had so much fun putting all those little layers together.

Sometimes it’s quite nice not having to come up with the idea yourself and just enjoying the making part.

🥶 Brrr... it's freezing here today! We actually have snow falling in Upper Hutt! ❄️ It's not something we see very often, so it's been quite exciting to watch.

It definitely feels like the perfect excuse to stay inside with a hot drink and a crafty project. ☕✂️

I've been trying to be much more selective with what I bring into Creative Junket this year, and I'm considering adding one more Christmas collection.

This is Pretty Little Studio's Candy Cane collection. It actually released so late last Christmas that many people probably never saw it!

It's a little brighter and more whimsical than the traditional vintage Christmas collections.

A little throwback from my craft stash! These Amy Tangerine stitching templates have been with me for what feels like forever and were my very first introduction to stitching on paper.

You simply place the template over your paper, poke through the holes, then stitch the design by hand. These days you can buy dies that cut all the stitching holes for you, but these came from well before those were around!

How darling is that little sun peeking out from behind the clouds? Seeing these again has made me feel inspired to pull out some thread and actually use them. Does anyone else still have old crafting tools tucked away that started a whole new obsession?

I absolutely loved a card created by Uniquely Creative - Creative Kit Club Design Team member using the new Sweet As Honey collection, so I decided to scraplift her gorgeous design. 💛

After recreating the first card, I had fun changing things up a little and making a second version with a different floral cluster, sentiment and background while keeping the beautiful gold honeycomb detail.

It's always amazing how one project can inspire so many different ideas! 🐝✨
