🎨 Our Final Painting Session! 🎨

Today was our last painting session, and what a beautiful morning it was! ❤️

It was so lovely to see our refugee families enjoying themselves, learning new painting skills, and expressing their creativity through art. Seeing everyone proudly create their beautiful artwork was truly special. 🖌️🎨

A huge thank you to Chantelle Litten for sharing your time, talent, and knowledge with our families and for teaching such a wonderful painting session. We really appreciate you! 💐

Thank you also to Esra'a AL-Hoot for helping translate and making sure our families could fully participate and enjoy the session. 🌏❤️

And a very special thank you to Creative Communities by Timaru District Council for sponsoring this amazing event and helping make these opportunities possible for our community. 🙏

It was lovely to welcome Timaru Herald visual journalist Aiman Amerul Muner to our weekly Coffee Group, where he captured the connections, laughter and friendly competition during a game of bingo.

Our Coffee Group is held every Wednesday from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Multicultural Aoraki, 14 Butler Street, Timaru. It provides a welcoming space for migrants, former refugees and newcomers to meet people, build friendships, share experiences and enjoy activities together.

New faces are always welcome! ☕😊

This Wednesday at Coffee Group, we have the absolute privilege of celebrating the birthday of our very special Mama Kate Edges! ❤️🎂

Mama Kate is truly an amazing soul. Her heart for our community is so genuine, and the love, kindness and care she shows towards our people never goes unnoticed. 🌺❤️

She is always there with a warm smile, an encouraging word, and a heart ready to support and uplift others. We are incredibly blessed and so lucky to have her as part of our community. 🙏🏽✨
