Meet Beth Park, Director of Onsite Insight.

Beth has spent more than 25 years working in and around businesses - leading teams, improving processes, delivering projects and helping people perform at their best.

Her career started in brewing with DB Breweries and Heineken, where a background in food technology and process engineering led to work across production, lean systems, quality, training and health and safety.

Somewhere along the way, she realised she enjoyed fixing messy businesses even more than she enjoyed beer!

These days, Beth spends much of her time alongside business owners and their teams - working through strategy, leadership, communication, conflict and the everyday challenges that can get in the way of a business working well.

She's at her best when things feel a bit tangled.

Get to the bottom of what's really going on. Make it simpler. Get the right people involved. Then get on with fixing it.

Outside of work, Beth enjoys time with family - and is one of those rare people who genuinely enjoys getting up early for a run.

When you're running a business, there will always be more to do than time to do it.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is decide what really matters - and start there.

When you're busy running the business, it can be hard to find the time to actually think about the business.

Before you know it, you're spending most of your time reacting to what's in front of you rather than thinking about what's next.

A good business shouldn't just keep you busy. It should be taking you somewhere.

Meet Michelle Ackroyd, our Digital Solutions Specialist.

Michelle's working life has been anything but conventional.

From laboratory and manufacturing environments, to office management, e-commerce, and running her own small business, she's worn a lot of hats over the years!

Looking back, there's been one constant.

She's always been curious about how things work... and how they could work better.

Whether that's replacing paperwork with digital forms, building custom business apps, connecting systems together or exploring where AI can genuinely save time, Michelle loves turning ideas into practical solutions that make everyday business a little easier.

As she puts it:

"If you've ever thought, 'There has to be a better way to do this,' I'd probably agree."

Outside of work, you'll usually find Michelle spending time with family, exploring somewhere new with Betty (her very enthusiastic Miniature American Shepherd), or planning the next travel adventure.

One idea from a leadership workshop recently...

People don't just listen to your words. They take their emotional cue from you as well.

When leaders become rushed, defensive or reactive - that spreads.

When leaders stay calm, clear and grounded - that spreads too.

Before you try to regulate everyone else...

Regulate yourself first.

Your team often mirror your emotional state long before they follow your instructions.

I spent some time recently with Addison Mincham from Simpro, looking at Simpro Lightning and the latest AI developments.

One thing the conversation reinforced for me is that AI delivers the biggest gains when the foundations are already in place.

If your job costing is wrong, your inventory isn't up to date, your workflows are inconsistent, and nobody trusts the reports...

AI won't solve those problems on its own.

Get the fundamentals right first.

Some mornings start at a fairly uncivilised hour, and I’m very grateful that Warren takes responsibility for the caffeine department.

No matter how early I’m heading out the door, there is always a lovely coffee waiting for me. This morning it even came with a little heart on top.
