What an absolute stunning moment for Women’s Basketball here in New Zealand, this afternoon ❤️💛🖤

Charlisse Leger-Walker was drafted into the WNBA as the 18th pick! An amazing accomplishment for an amazing young woman.

Waikato Basketball Council are so proud to have played a small part in her journey as a young athlete with aspirations to further herself.

From the Under 12 programme through to the high-performance age groups here in the Waikato (Under 17-19-23).

Multiple national titles.
Multiple moments of fun and enjoyment with her age group friends in her Waikato teams that enjoyed the ride.

This is such a proud moment for Charlisse and her family.

We are certain the Connecticut Sun apparel sales are now going to spiral with the arrival of the New Zealand star!
